But this all hinges on what they do with Pau Gasol. If we get Nash but give away Gasol, it doesn't necessarily make us a better team.

Can't see us moving Pau now, or at least I hope not. He and Nash will thrive together.

Never know, but I cannot imagine they'd dump Gasol for change on the dollar now. The die is cast. Our best move now is try to entice Howard with all the lob passes he'd be getting.

I hope not either, but the Lakers have been shopping Gasol for a year now. So does getting Nash change that, or does it give them incentive to unload Gasol even faster? After all, getting another ballhandler with a high usage rate can't help Gasol's game.

Also depends heavily on whether the Lakers are willing to eat the punitive lux tax or not.

I don't think their summer is done yet, which isn't necessarily a good thing at all.

I hope like hell they keep Gasol though.

Nash Kobe and Metta is as good as we're gonna get on the perimeter defensively. Im shocked at the occasional mention of Grant Hill coming here and starting. No way we get passed OKC or Miami without a stout wing defender like World Peace out there.

Grant Hill would be great coming off the bench however.

Big difference between this situation and the one with Stern attempting to make the Hornets more desirable for prospective buyers.

They can't, the Suns aren't owned by the league. Stern can't do a damn thing about this one.

OMG, coming home after a crazy night and finding out that Nash is a Laker. What an epic way to end the day.
Now I just need a Nash signature!

i dont know if you've watched nash and kobe the last few years, but trust me, we need all the perimeter defense we can get. metta aint shutting down 3 players while nash is being used as a traffic cone and kobe is playing 10 ft from the corner-three man

I think this move shows they are going to spend while Kobe is here, and will only move Gasol if it is a upgrade to the roster and not just to save cash to try and get under the "full MLE" cap. I don't see any teams wanting to do us anymore favors this offseason so I don't see us moving Gasol.

Give em a full offfseason with the new coaching staff, a huge upgrade at PG, hopefully a upgraded bench and we'll be primed to challenge OKC and Miami as long as we can stay relatively healthy.

They just said on espn Kobe called Nash and said

"I need you, I need help, I can't do it all, I need you"

Whether you like him or not, think he has a huge ego, Kobe swallowed a hell of a lot of pride to say will you help me and it struck strong with Nash*

Ramona Shelbourne just said it was what she was told happened in the Convo
