If Lin gets healthy and puts up decent numbers I expect him to be in play for the all-star. KP would be awesome in the all-star format and should be helped by his Euro-brethren. I expect Rose, Melo, and KP to all be in the conversation. I can't imagine a KP fan that isn't voting for Melo as an all-star as well.

do you read this forum ?

I consider them Melo-haters first, KP fans second :D
If you are fan of KP, you have to be a fan of Melo because of how Melo has been helping KP develop.

I imagine that there will be some kp voters who don't vote Melo just to piss him off and get him to wave his ntc

The power of the Latvian vote appears to be highly overrated. Either that or the NBA didn't count all of their votes.

I wish Melo would play more like he did under Fisher where he looked to pass the ball often and was feeding Lopez and looking for shooters. I also don't like those 1 on 3 attempts in the paint. He has KP wide open in the corner but he wants to get his in the paint, lucky for him the refs bailed him out this time. I know he we need his scoring and I'm not saying he shouldn't take advantage of his opportunities to score but sometimes he just forces it too much.

Our late game execution is still not where it should be. We still love keeping teams in the game because of bad execution and bad shot selection in crunch time.

Don't know what game you were watching.

Today is not the day for that kind of criticism, imo. Melo played within the offense, took smart shots, was a willing distributor and had a good balance of scoring and passing.

Melo does not have to be Lebron James to be a smart player. He is still the best scorer out there and when takes his shots in the rhythm and flow of the offense he does not have to sacrifice who he is as a player to help the team.

This was good Melo, he managed to score at a good percentage and still had 3 assists and made plays for others.

What's up with the extremes with people? I say Carmelo needs to do a better job of feeding the post and kicking out on triple teams and people take that as asking him to be Lebron James. Oh wow

I'm talking about things that will help the Knicks make progress going forward, obviously they are not in mid season form but these are things I'm looking for to improve as the season goes on. This team is a solid offensive team, Melo seems to always have these trust issues with teammates and today there were plenty examples of it.

Melo is what he is. hes not changing anything now.
There's something about an underdog that really inspires the unexceptional.

I love that this team has an attitude. Regardless of the on-court issues, I get the sense that they all have the IDGAF attitude that we've been clamoring for in recent years.

I have a feeling we'll turn it on at the right time and start rolling. You can tell they're slowly getting over the hump. Just a matter of time.

A solid PF that gives you a steady, but unspectacular 15 PPG, but also boards and defends at a high level could do more for our team on a net basis than Melo does.

So name recognition does not make Melo a great player at this point. He is just above average at this point in his net contributions to winning games. If he scores 25, he also gives up 25. He's not an all-around beast and we could be just as good or better with a less famous name that plays both ends of the court FULL-TIME.

So after seeing him in extended minutes tonight, what are the projections for Hernangomez in the next coming years?

It's looking like he won't be the defensive liability that guys like Greg Monroe and Enes Kanter are. However, does he have it in him to be an elite defensive presence like Marc Gasol, Rudy Gobert, and Steven Adams? I'm hoping for somewhere in the middle.

On offense, I feel like he has such smooth moves and soft touch that there's no question he can eventually average points in the double digits. Don't know if I see him as a 20 ppg big man though.

With a consistent 24 mpg next season, I think he should get upwards of 10+ ppg, 6+ rpg, 1+ bpg, whether he is starting or coming off the bench.

One thing is for sure. It would be disappointing if he doesn't develop into a starting center. At this point, he has shown all the tools you need to become one.

What's up with Archie Goodwin ? I watched that kid play and thought he had tons of potential.. He was aggressive, freak athlete, and decent defender.

What happened ? Why has he been cut twice? Is he just not making any progress? Are teams just not using him in the right way? What's up?

I'm one that's gets pissed at Noah for getting beat and pushed around.

I'm just not giving up on him. I refuse to, I know the type of competitor he is. I believe in him.

Also Willy in the post game praised Noah for helping him everyday and scouting him on Dwight.

Y'all can keep playing him, I got his back.
