This URI/OU game solidifies my opinion that I don't want Trae Young if he's available with the Pistons' pick. Although he does have the excuse of a weak supporting cast, his shot selection and defense are both major red flags. He thinks he's Steph Curry when he's not even close.

His shot selection is the way it is because he's not explosive or skilled enough to get around defenders. This will be even more exposed in the NBA and I literally can't see him doing anything if it's not in a screen-roll.

No way that frail frame is defending anything either.

I've always liked Colin better but I had to hold my tongue while Trey was having 40 to 50 point games....and I just like Colin. I don't love him as a draft pick.

I like this kid man....Miles that is.

He is EXPLOSIVE but I think he is more of a combo forward, a utility guy, with wing versatility than he is a guy who is just going to be a good wing defender or a 3 and D guy. He doesn't have the length I want on a wing either...but man the kid just works on his game and tries to get better at everything. He has the toughness and physicality I like too.

Hurt me to see him pipe on my guy Ethan Happ but it happened...I even like the mentality he had there to dunk that.
_____________

Now when it comes to Mikal, I'm so ready to pull the trigger on him because I've been longing for a wing with that kind of length but I'm literally hoping he has the make up and tenacity to be that type of wing. I'm hoping for a Diet-Kawhi or Diet-Paul George because I don't think he is going to be able to score like those guys. I see him being strictly spot up 3 and D and maybe that's just fine if the defensive component is elite.

I don't like Sexton either. Honestly, I don't think we need a point guard anyway. We should draft three wings (assuming we also buy a second-round pick).

I'm not saying Trae will develop but he's only 19.

With NBA trainers, he could improve his core strength and improve his quickness somewhat.

Curry isn't strong or a twitch athlete either.

If his stock falls, Young may stay in school one more year. Whatever he does, he needs to work with a trainer.

Seems pretty obvious now that we're not going to make the playoffs, so it's time to turn our attention to the draft.

Jay Wright had Mikal Bridges guarding Colin Sexton for a possession.

Let’s see if he does it more.

We need them to lose in the Sweet 16.

Can’t have them having a special final four run and making Mikal a top 6-7 pick.

Hamidou Diallo is such a crazy athlete.

If he could shoot worth a lick, he’s a top 6-7 pick.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander intrigues me
If the Clippers win the championship next year I'm getting banned from RealGM
