Second game further reinforced what I said after the first: right now his highs are very high, and his lows are very low. He's making some very bad decisions. His free throws look iffy. His jumper looks kinda flat in general. But then he'll have some outrageous block. He'll bring the ball upcourt himself with solid ball handling. He'll climb the ladder for crazy dunks/dunk attempts. I'm optimistic.

Inspired passer too. The kid has the guts to make ambitious passes and that will fit in well in Kerr's scheme.

Nicknames for Kuminga because Kum-bucket is a non-starter:

Kumanji or Juminga? Because he's got game?

I mean, Juminga has a real ring to it but probably won't work.

Johnny-Kum-Lately?

Somebody commented earlier that he uses his wrists too much. I noticed that too on a missed free throw he had in the Miami game. Wobbly wrist at the last moment. I think that's a fixable problem.

If he can't learn the right way to shoot getting shots up alongside Steph and Klay we should trade him at the deadline.

The Congo Express has been fun to watch so far….he’ll be a future all star with some seasoning and experience.

Moses is really not that athletic, but he’s technically sound enough to still be good and make a difference. Only other prospect I would have thought about taking over Moses at 14 was Jalen Johnson who has had a hot start to SL, but I’d still probably take Moody over him for this team if I could draft over again. He has a great opportunity to learn behind Andre and Klay.

I think someone mentioned Flash Gordon a few pages back, so that would be Minga the Merciless?

I'm not much into nicknames but I actually like this one.

edit: My mind didn't go there initially, but I agree that this could be racially sensitive – so obviously it would have to be approved by him or else not ever be used.

Lot's of things to be excited about, and nothing I've seen bad is hard to fix. Now we just have to see how he grows this year and that will teach us about him and the new staff.

Minga seems the most likely and while unexciting, it works. But some day when he palms someone's shot out of the air I do want to hear an announcer yell "Oh no, Minga ate my baby!"

I like Mojo for Moody.

Kuminga, I'm trying to honor his Congolese heritage and the rich history of music from there...
