4 second and change, Marcus Smart going to the line for 3 after a coaches challenge (which will fail.)

Update: Despite clear evidence of a foul they reversed the call Boston wins the jump and calls time out with somewhere between 3.5 and 4 seconds left.

The Mavericks ability to win games is otherworldly. Luka hits a clutch 3, Dinwiddie hits a clutch last-second 3. Boston gets fouled taking a 3 that would tie but the play gets overturned. Ridiculous. They are the most clutch team in NBA.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

Do y'all think 2 of or maybe all 3 of the lower seeded (at the moment) DEN/DAL/MIN advances to the second round with the way they're all playing? This is ridiculous

I have given up on Wolves catching Mavs..Mavs also have an easier remaining schedule than Wolves too. Wolves best hope is to overtake Denver which is probably realistic.

One time only special NBA rule used tonight. You are allowed to hit a 3 point shooter in a follow through so long as you only hit their hand. Apparently the NBA are fans of the high 5, even when given by opposing teams mid shot.

I think it will certainly be interesting. I bet at least one will steal HCA at some point in the first round.

Regardless of a play-in tourney or an automatic bid, I hope Wolves are in the position to acquire the seed that plays the Grizzlies, not Golden State. GS hasn't looked great, but I think Wolves would fare better starting off with the equally inexperienced Grizzlies. I think Golden State is going to reclaim the number 2 seed so really hoping Wolves can jump either Denver or Dallas to get that 6 seed. I don't think anyone believes the wolves to end up in the finals, but it would be great to see them get past the first round at least.

Griz are the best offensive rebounding team in the NBA and we are worst defensive rebounding team. I can see this going very, very wrong. Also I think the Griz may be hungrier than GSW. GSW has been here before and knows they don’t have the tools to go all the way. Without a legit big and with Klay not being as good as he was before the injuries, I think they know they cannot handle many of the elite teams. In any event I wonder if Utah might not sneak by GSW for 3 and the Griz keep the 2nd seed.

As much as Denver’s win sucks for us, at least the clippers lost to the Cavs. We are now 4.5 games ahead of them. 2 or 3 more losses for the Clippers and I think 7 is a secure worst case scenario.

I also didn't realize that both Jazz and Mavs are tied now with same record. Wolves are now 3 games behind both Jazz, Mavs and 1.5 games behind Nuggets

We are closer to the 4 seed (3 games) than we are to the 8 seed (4.5 games).

But we get to the play the Mavs twice. The issue is control of our destiny. Same thing with Denver who we play once. In reality, Mavs 1 game ahead of us and Nuggets .5 ahead of us if we take care of business.
