I like Trey but 4 FRPs is nutty. That amount of picks are for superstars like Giannis.

3 is the floor for trey, one of the firsts orlando gave up for bane can be considered that it was for dumping contracts of kcp and Cole Anthony

All of your points are value.

I would only add two things to remember: 1) It is New Orleans - they didn't have a physiotherapist until a couple of seasons ago, they are a poverty franchise, and 2) this isn't 2004 Joe Dumars.

I would burn a couple FRPs to get Trey Murphy. 25. High volume 3pt shooter. Good defender. Great fit at the 2 for us. Under contract for a few more years.

What are the odds you draft someone remotely as good? Especially with this team looking like 40+wins in the near future,

IQ - Murphy - Ingram - Scottie - CMB. Run that out there for the next few years. Maybe not a ring but damn good fun team.

I would trade two 1sts
2027 and 2029... If a super star becomes available you still have draft capital, swaps and Trey Murphy.. damn good asset
I would not do pick swaps etc.
CMB develops, this team will be really good in the next 4-5 years and those picks maybe close to fringe player status.
Trey is young and on a good contract...
If they want 4 picks and swaps.. I agree hold out until a superstar comes.

All these Giannis offers are garbage.

Sounds to me like CMB is the best asset anyone can offer. Picks are nice and necessary but a rookie top 10 pick with all-nba defensive chops is superior to anything outside a guaranteed top 5 pick in the 2026 draft.

If he is okay with San Antonio and they offer Harper we are probably SOL but CMB based on current rumors would trump all the non sense from Miami and NY.
Maybe the Bucks would want KAT and OG but Knicks got rid a ton of draft capital
