Oh, another thing they talked about is that he was skeptical that we would truly tank and bottom out but instead thought we'd try to retool on the fly and get back to something resembling competitive pretty quickly like the Clipper (ironically) did when they traded Paul and then shortly thereafter Blake Griffin. Mentioned what's been mentioned on here before, that this is a small market that doesn't have a long track record of supporting an NBA team so they probably wouldn't want to risk a complete tank here.

Just one man's speculation but it is informed speculation.

That’s why I think we keep Adams. Adams, Shai and try to find a young player like we did with Oladipo for our new core. Then we’ve got a crap load of picks to try to put us over the top.

Yeah seems like a plausible scenario. You don't aquire that many picks to actually use them in a draft. You don't need 10 guys on rookie deals on your roster.

I’m not sure who that other guy is yet. I like Jaylen brown but I don’t see the Celtics moving him. Plus we have Ferguson and diallo. Neither may amount to anything but if you bring in brown then you probably get rid of one of them. I absolutely love JJJ from Memphis but there is no way they trade him. It would be nice if Bazley surprised us. I like Winslow but does he really fit with Shai? Miami fans said he was better as a point guard than a forward.

Looks like Miami journalists, reporters and mostly fans are considering Westbrook to Miami is almost done. Wouldn't be so sure about that...

We should offer a lot in order to get Brown. Don't think it will happen

I don’t think he’s available. Ainge is hoarding assets and content to build around Tatum, brown and others since they lost out on Davis.

Well it all depends on if he's willing to keep in OKC next year but he has a player option so...could be valuable for some teams if he's not part of long term plans.

Unless Presti plans on re-signing him, his value might never be higher. If he has another season like last season, what kind of pay day do you expect him to get? He has a player option at the end of next year. We either pay him or lose him for nothing. Would it be worth to give him a bug contract when we aren’t contending?

Insider-ish close to some Thunder org people saying Westbrook would prefer to stay and they will move some assets to try and rebuild a contender around Russ. Welp.

Well Presti is crazy enough to try to compete next year for a playoff seed. Guess Westbrook willing to leave will force Presti to go on full rebuild but we never know...

That's exactly why I wanted a trade to happen ASAP. Until it happens we will have no clue on Westbrook & Presti intentions.

Don't be surprised if he isn't traded in the next weeks? Doesn't mean anything.
If we trade assets for good players then it's another thing

I love Westbrook and will always cheer for him but the best thing for him and for the Thunder is for him to leave, even more if a big franchise like the Heat is willing to trade for him.

Both. Doesn't want to leave. Presti will cave.

Hope it's just a way to get more assets for him.

If true, good luck with that. We are still over the tax and PG13 is gone. At least if Presti trades SGA I can stop watching the Thunder.
