Thankfully only 2 games

to me both sides need it to happen. denver needs to make sure they get something for him including the savings. the knicks need him to solidify us for this year and the future. march is exceptionally rough, we've built up a lot of excitement this year but that could go away quick if we keep playing the way we have. both walsh & d'antoni are on the hot seat a little bit and dolan wants this to happen.

I know my topic got locked (I don't think it was warranted and if I could get an explanation that'd be great) so I am assumming the mods either want me to ask it here or thought it was a stupid question. Regardless I'll ask it here, how do you guys think this whole thing plays out? Like I said earlier I think Denver will keep him for the reasons I outlined in the locked thread. Where are you guys at?

Call me a conspiracy theorist but does any one think that this was a measuring stick game for the nuggs/melo?? I mean Amare not playing, and us beating them shows the nuggs our young assests are better than theirs (lopez harris and favors)and shows melo we dont need stat to beat these chumps and this is were you want to be... just a thought....

Is there any chance of a trade being agreed upon with the stipulation that the actual deal is done at the trade deadline so that the Nuggets can still sell some more tickets from now until then?

With every day that passes, I think more and more that Denver is going to hold onto him. I hope I'm wrong.

Does anyone have any news on Buike and how his knee is coming along? I know his contract could be used as a trade piece, but let's say Fields is gone with Chandler in the deal, and we hold onto Buike's contract, is he anywhere close to returning? I've seen some footage of him practicing during one of the Knick pregame shows and he's running and jumping a little. I'm not expecting to see him at 100%, but if he's at least 85-90%, he could a solid 2 for the rest of the season, at least

Any news?

Nothing strange there.. Further indication that a deal is already agreed upon/being finalized.

My prediction, again, a trade will be announced on the 21st. 8 days from now..

A good sign IMHO. Maybe the Nuggets have stopped trying to get other teams involved and are closing in on a deal with the Knicks.

espn gets ratings

CAA gets exposure on national tv

We have so many glaring weaknesses that could be addressed right now. All i can think is that the Melo deal is progressing, and Walsh isn't even looking at anything else. If the Melo deal was not close, Donnie would be exploring immediate help elswhere.

Donnie has stated that he is working on non-Melo deals as well

Because Donnie has proved himself as an exec for over 20 years now and was the architect behind us going from the basement with a bloated payroll to being a playoff team with cap flexibility in 3 years.[/quote]

Please dont make me bring up all of Donnies atrocious draft picks with Indiana like Eric Dampier over Kobe and Steve Nash. He left the Pacers far more buried then Isiah left the Knicks and thats a fact.
