I am sacrificing for the good of the Mavs as well. I am 3-1 when I have turned off the TV with the team down late in the 4th, expecting them to make a comeback but not wanting to jinx it. And that 1 "loss" was Game 5 against OKC, which wasn't really a loss since they came back even though I watched.

Yeah, the Heat are so obnoxious. I love how all the frontrunning Heat fans try to argue that the Heat are really likable if you get to know them. The Mavs conduct themselves with pure class, and the Heat run around the court like animals.

Congrats on the win mavs fan.. this is coming from a knicks fan who would love to see miami lose this series..

I picked the mavs to win it all a month ago.... I like the makeup of this team, and I am a fan of dirk..
it would be great if half the NBA players were like this guy... as a player and a person...

I also said that jason terry is going to have to play big, and although he turned the ball over a lot, he came through with some big shots, and jason kidd had that big 3 as well..

I hope the work that marion is doing is being noticed by all. He is playing well on both ends and hitting shots...

Mavs in 6!!!!!!!!!!

Once again, we were bailed out by Dirk. Yet another epic performance from him. Jesus Christ.

But there are still problems.

Barea has not been effective-- I thought he would have been better so far.
Peja cannot play this series. Nothing is going. The Heat rotations are too quick for him... that's why his effectiveness has been limited. I say give him a few minutes game 3. See what he does. If it doesn't pan out, give the minutes to Brewer. Carlisle probably will have no choice.

Finally Terry hit some shots. Our bench outscored Miami's bench 24-11.... good, but we probably need 30 pts from the bench.

We need some more bench production....PERIOD.

If one of them gets hot, Miami will have a tough time.

No one has really said anything about Haywood. I hope it's not serious.

I'll take the win, but we cant be completely satsified with it. We were atrocious for 41 mins. The last 7 mins was Dallas basketball.

For Game 3, Peja should not play. JJ is struggling. They are both a combined 3/18 FGs for 7 pts in the Finals

We certainly lacked energy for most of this game. Wade was 13-18 at one point, that cannot happen again. We need players willing to play hard, physical defense on him, foul him hard, make him work.

DS had his shot falling which was pleasant, but we cant rely on that happening again.

Kidd really needs to cut down turnovers, and Terry needs to be more focused from the start.

Kidd played horribly until the last 5 minutes. What the hell got into him. The travel when no one was even guarding him, the dumb passes, the ball slipping out of his hands. Jeez.

Also, Peja in his limited playing time just doesn't look cut out mentally for the Finals. He looks like those weakling people they throw into a ring with an MMA champion on that show Bully Beatdown. He's standing out there like "Uh... ok, what the hell do I do now?"

At 15 points down, I thought is was over. I'm glad that the Mavericks are doing well because they are representing team basketball against tough odds. The Mavericks are truly a beautiful team. There is little hesitation, everybody knows what they're supposed to be doing, and this squad has turned me from previous hater in previous seasons to a believer.
