I am just not sure Otis is competent enough to get us that. God help us.
I don't understand the line of thinking - can you please explain it? Why is there no turning back? Just because his agent has been given permission to see what kind of deals other teams may be willing to make? Dwight has, from all reports, not committed to any course of action. Knowing what other options are available just makes sense for all involved.
followingall the events its obvious Dwight is looking to direction direction. Once a superstar makes up their mind to want to leave its just a matter of time. They feel they need to go to greener pasture. To me he is done with the Magic and is exploring his options with other teams. As much as it hurts and believe me it hurts very much, we are in denial if we believe he wants to stay with the magic. I hope he will prove me wrong.
Kobe Bryant? Publicly called out the Lakers organization and their roster, demanded a trade - they managed to make a deal that got him a quality second option and things have been rosy ever since.
I'm still of the strong belief that the ball is in the Magic's court. If they get him a genuine, 20ppg second option and the Magic get deep into the playoffs next year, that combined with the fact that we can offer him so much more money could well convince him to stay.

How can the hornets take that for Chris Paul
Boy...that is pathetic if true. Why doesn't the league fire that GM for being so stupid? Seriously. As a GM I would rather my star player walk than take back trash for him. Of course I would not help him either as far as SnT goes to get that extra 30 to 40 million he would get to sign with the team either.

Do you believe if their meeting was not exposed, would Dwight not ask for trade to the Nets on friday?

also, you are talking Koby being the best player of the biggest market team. the difference is that environment is where Dwight is wanting to go to from a small market team.

I don't have an answer for that, mainly because I'm going off the same speculation and sensationalism as you are. Are we believing Broussard that a trade request was imminent, or do we go by the other previous reports that said Dwight would not request a trade, and would wait to see if the Magic could find him help?

So the NBA got caught trying to hand L.A. yet another illegitimate championship and their response is: "Yea, so what?"

I agree, that could easily change the tide. But do you have confidence in management that they can make that happen in time for the season? They've been trying to get a 20pt scorer for a while, but keep settling for risks. They're one trade piece down (bass).

What's the point of not saying who the Lakers pieces are? What, they don't want the owners to be able to jump in?
Woj is the new Bucher. Shams is the new Woj. Espn is the new TMZ. The NBA is the new WWE.
Boo.
Boo.

That's irrelevant if you believe the primary goal for Dwight in all of this is winning a ring. The other stuff will always be there for him in the offseason, which regardless of where he plays is the only time he'll have time for it anyway. If the Magic put a good team around him and he still leaves, then there is nothing more the Magic could have done, and he no way they could have catered to his priorities. The Magic have yet to do that. They still have a chance to do it, and make Dwight make a choice.
