I've seen Perry guarding out on the perimeter this year and last, and he seems to be good enough at it. Whether or not that would translate against NBA SF's is an unknown, although Perry has some impressive quickness. I'd definitely be more comfortable with him guarding SFs than Quincy at this point.

In a zone, I wouldn't be concerned at all.

That might not be a bad comparison. Jones is a bit more of a scorer and less of a passer than Odom was.

Are you watching the game? he's a hell of a passer. He doesnt force shots. It's a good comparison, but I think he has way more offensive potential than Odom

Lamar Odom averaged over 5 assists a game when he came in the league before he was with the Lakers. He was basically the point guard out there.

Jones is averaging less than 2 assists per game. He's not the passer that Odom was. He's not going to create shots for his teammates, he is more of a scorer.

I really like his game, he's my pick for our top pick next year.

What's the deal with Quincy Miller in the rotation? Maybe it's because I haven't watched a lot of Baylor but his minutes seem scattered to me.

That was an impressive crossover by Perry Jones.

I think PJ3 could play SF, but I'd like to see more 3's from him to showcase it.

He's going to be a nightmare matchup becuase of his handles and ability to shoot over anyone or post up.

There's no doubt PJ3 can be an absolute beast on the court.

See right there, I don't think he has a problem playing SF, he shakes that defender pretty well in the perimeter, he just have to knock that shot down though lol

that jumper will become deadly in time. he has a knack for scoring, he'll improve that percentage. I see, him as a Danny Granger with more length and defense, but definitely not as prolific with his jumper yet though

Right now, solely based on their play, I'd pick PJ3 if we had the first pick.

At times I see flashes of Rudy Gay, times I see Odom, other times I see abit of Granger in terms of putting the ball on the floor. ...most importantly, he can create for himself.

I don't think PJ will be a sf in the nba. He probably could get by on some nights but his best position is pf.

PJ3 is really playing his way to the 3rd pick in this draft. It was a good decision coming back cos last year he was prolly in the 6th-11th draft range, but this year he came back and became more assertive and playing his way to top 5 in a loaded draft. Impressive.

Yup and it's between him & Drummond to me. But I think adding PJ3 changes the complexity of our offense completely.

Tonight was the first game all season I’ve seen Quincy Miller this engaged offensively. He’s finally cutting out towards the perimeter calling/demanding for the ball, displaying his handles and putting the ball on the floor to create something. Even though he got called for the carrying violation that was some impressive ball handling trying to shake his man off. Also had a nice step-back jumper that couldn’t fall. But overall efficient game for Quincy. Looks to be much more quick and agile deflecting and stealing passes in the passing lanes. Hopefully, he continues to keep this up!
