That made me laugh, good luck to him

The real question is, will he loose 20lvs of fat or 20lbs of muscle Lmao

If Al Jefferson wants to get down to 265ish he is going to need to lose closer to 40 to 50 pounds. There is no way that fat big man was less that 300 this year unless he has zero muscle.

Jefferson without weight would look like Nerlens Noel.

I get the feeling we're about to be treated to a really nice contract season by Al. I've got mixed feelings on the prospect of a really nice 15-16 campaign after a summer of working himself into shape. On the one hand it should definitely help the team as a whole and the offense in particular, but on the other hand it might just lure Cho into throwing big money at him on a new 3-4 year deal.

If we get a rejuvenated Al next year I'd really like to see us test the trade market to gauge his value, but the front office seems too attached to him to seriously consider something like that.

Glad he's opting in assuming he comes into camp in great shape. Which he'll be playing for his last big deal.

That's 10 players under contract, with Hendo being a pending 11th. Biz and Taylor are RFAs and Mo and Maxiell UFAs. If Hendo opts in we'll be over the cap with he and the 9th pick's salaries. We can re-sign our own guys via Bird Rights, but can only bring in others via exceptions like the Mid-Level and Bi-Annual.

No one will take him. Utah had to let him walk for nothing when he was in his prime. The rest of the league understands what Al is. We are stuck with him. Best we can hope for is that Cho gives Cliff a mandate to stop treating him like hes Shaq or something.

I think that both Boston and San Antonio would be interested.

I hope someone is. I'd seriously trade him for a second round pick and expiring contracts. Id actually attach a second round pick to him just to trade him for expirings.

Edit: Fun fact. Al's true shooting % was only 1.6% higher than Kemba's last season. Let that sink in for a second.

When is Al eligible to be traded?

Right now I believe as long as it's not to Cleveland or Golden State.

I think we will get a good, contract year with Al. I've been expecting this really, so I've already come to terms with having Al for the year.

If Brook Lopez leaves Brooklyn, what about Al and Lance for Joe Johnson

If it really does become official Monday, then we should be able to move him then. I don't think this falls into the December 15 category like new signings.
