They could use a vet PG with good character and a clean record.

Sign Lin and Seth Curry.
PG Lin, Grant
SG Wroten, Curry
That would be an exciting backcourt with a lot of potential. That group could attack in multiple ways and paired with the size in the front court could make for an exciting team. Lin is solid and the three other guys have tremendous potential and great specialty skills.

2017 realistic pg signings in order
C. Paul - will be 32, but is still a star player, he will be the best reason to save money this year (chokes in the playoffs), also would have to hope he opts out of his contract
J. Teague - getting traded to Philly, but Philly will have his bird rights and will over pay to keep him, only way he doesn't re-sign, is if the 6ers aren't competitive at all(players love that extra year in contracts), also a 40% 3pt shooter
J. Holiday - love him but has missed games in 6 of his 7 years in the NBA, would have to gamble on him like we did with Amare, great overall stats
G. Hill - great shooter and the second best defender on this list, but can't run an offense, if he was 2 " taller he would make a great SG
D. Rose - will never be the same player he once was, his stats look good (16/6) but Bulls are a net negative when he's on the court and will probably never play 82 games a season, also drives half as much as he use to and his 3pt is broken, I'm guessing Bulls want to move in another direction
Everyone else on the list isn't a realistic signing (Curry, Westbrook, Lowry, Schroeder)
Rondo and lin don't look half bad to me now
Edit - well rockets are making a play for Lin, so he's off the table, I'm all in on Rondo then

Yeah i think some take Rondo's stupid antics that he does on the court sometimes and make him out to be a not very smart player which is actually just the opposite because he's a very smart player which is why he's such a good PG. I think or hope that with Melo being a friend and with him being such a calm player on the court that it would hopefully help calm Rondo some and if he respects Hornacek then i think he could work out really well for us. I'm sure there would be a Rondo episode every once in a while but i could deal with that every so often to have a legit point guard.
His antics really aren't what is being discussed. Even with his head on right, Rondo never ran a good offense.
Idk, i just don't think Rondo can fit well with what the team is supposedly trying to do. In Mike Woodson's offense, I think he would have done well with that team we had, not so much this one. We really need guards than can alternate between handling the ball and playing off ball, and one thing Rondo cannot do is play off ball. No one is making Rondo "better", especially not on this team.
