Immediately thought of this

If Michael Scott played for the Knicks, I would have to become a Knicks fan. *Michael Scott shrug*

Melo has an NTC. If he's dealt, he's either going to go another major market or team up with one of his friends. If the Clippers had assets that the Knicks liked, a deal could happen but I don't think either are interested in what the other has to offer.

I think Melo would entertain the idea of a Toronto or Boston but I'm pretty sure 1) Boston wouldn't want to give up major assets to get him and 2) New York wouldn't want to accept whatever Toronto has to offer.

Melo for Griffen... LAC are in win now and NYK can feed off Griffen's marketing ability.

Now whether I think Griffin n KP work well is another story... mechanics wise yes but if Blake forces KP to be more of a C then that's a no no

Shiet the Manhattan Nix better do something cause while the Nets may be the most trash team in the league, the Nix are just as trash for thinking they're a super team

Anyone think the Nets dodged a huge bullets by not signing Rondo?..I remember there were a few who were arguing for his signing and the argument against that was exactly what's currently going on in Chicago with Rondo and Hoiberg not being on the same page.

At this point, Chicago would give him up for a bag of chip

Only Rose thought they were a super team and he's deciding when and where he'll suit up to play lol.

Man, NYC sports is a disaster yet again.

This summer I thought the Nets might've amounted to something this season if they went all in to nabb Rondo & Baze.

...now?

Well, that surprised me. I was sure his outward demeanor was overcompensating given his visible frustrations but he seems like a loyal dude. Makes it a little tougher to think about Brook probably leaving the Nets soon, but Sac has the picks to rebuild that the Nets don't

Speaking of draft picks and non-contending teams, Celtics fans must be feeling pretty salty rn. All those shiny assets and no superstar. Maybe they'll sign Ibaka to a max?

So, who would've thought the Knicks would end up with Deron Williams 2.0?

I can't lie as a NY sports fan. I can't help but feel for some Knick fans who are realistic about that franchise. Deron did some soft sh*t here and never really embraced NY to the media but he also never skipped a game because was home sick or annoyed with a coach.

I fully expect the Knicks to re-sign him to a max contract.

Im glad Cousins stayed with he Kings, the Kings wouldn't be nothing without him and they might eventually end up moving the team.
I think this makes it easier and better for us to move Lopez. I'm sure many teams were willing to give up a lot of assets to get DMC but now that he stays put, those teams might want to turn their attention to Lopez now. Ofcourse we won't get the same players back that Cuz get but Lopez still have value now that he can make 3s efficiently and he's probably the best center on the trade market now.

And they were up by 10 with like 2:30 to go. Makes me not feel so bad about the Nets losing to Sixers twice, even though I am a Knicks fan too.

I don't see Melo being with the Knicks after the trade deadline. The Knicks are in real bad shape right now, their best bet is to blow up the team, get as much assets as can and try to get the best pick to play along side KP.

Anthony and Noah for Jordan, Crawford and Johnson works.

Knicks get out of Noah's contract, while the Clippers unite Anthony with both Griffin and Paul. Knicks would then be able to flip Crawford for an asset or two.

Knicks:
Rose/Jennings
Crawford/Lee/Vujacic
Thomas/Johnson
Porzingas
Jordan/O'Quinn

Clippers:
Paul/Rivers
Redick/Anderson
Anthony/Moute
Griffin/Pierce/Bass
Noah/Speights/Stone

Didn't I call it?

If Melo were to accept a trade, it would only be to play with a member of the banana boat crew.

Prediction: Melo, Lopez and Dwight are traded on the same day fulfilling the Billy King exorcism. The Knicks hand the keys to Porzingis, Nets hand the keys to LeVert, Hawks begin a rebuild.

Billy King disappears into space like Team Rocket from Pokémon.
