Nice presser. Liked the tough questions your media guys were asking, loved the responses. Laker pressers are usually a lot more tame IMO

we're going to win more games, i do believe that. people saying we aren't going to be able to score are delusional. Russell is going to put up numbers in this offense. Caris LeVert, RHJ another year of experience. Jeremy Lin healthy. We will compete each night.

Brook shooting threes had nothing to do with how horrible we were on the defensive glass.

Really displeased by that presser... came off as cocky and entitled. Add to that the lack of talent and I can see the locker room turning on him real quick. Was hoping he'd show a change of heart in particular the "control what you can control" response lmao. Your attitude and on-court play is what got you traded young fellah! lol that's within your control. If you were a good player, maybe the lakers organization wouldn't be laughing at you and showing their true thoughts even post trade when they have nothing to gain. No humility, no hunger, no IQ. We dumped our cute girlfriend (BroLo) and dove on a grenade (not even for the boys smh lol). Praying he's gone by Christmas

While you're not a mod, to be fair I know I'm early on D-Lo and have seen more of his game than most here and not everyone else is ready to run him out of town yet, but I'll hold off on the D-Lo hating until we see more Nets games next season and it becomes more evident. Right now to many hopeful Nets fans, it probably just looks like I'm blowing hot air. I just was really put off by his lack of character in that interview, and hoping his mindset would have changed. Maybe KA can shape him up. But I dunno maybe some guys are just bad apples

Your opinion is just so negative and so far removed from the majority that it is really hard to take. We have almost unanimously been congratulated for getting a top talent and winning the trade. You are just about the only person that I've read that says we lost the trade and you ate definitely the only person I've read that is soooo anti-Dlo and so negative about the trade. Every opinion I have read about the interview was glowing, except your which absolutely tore him to shreds. Now I'm all for being a nonconformist, but when there is so much positivity going around and you keep talking up only the negative (and such a high degree), it becomes pretty hard to take.

Watched several highlights of him, his shot selection seems like a problem. He chose his shot like Curry. But he's not Curry. Reminds me of Nick Young...
Most NBA stats aren't credible. At most times the people who interprets those data are biased, or the data themselves are flawed. Basketball is just too complicated with so many uncontrollable variables.

I watched it and loved each response he gave because each one showed humility.

He had the opportunity to lash back at Magic Johnson and talk about getting revenge on the haters, and he said he doesn't play to get back at people (which is good because it only serves a distraction).

No hunger? He asked Sean Marks if he could fly out to Brooklyn the day of the trade so he could practice with the team. Marks laughed and said no he should take the night to rest and they'd get him a flight the next day. He's been working out everyday at midnight (with or without other Nets players) and he's been bonding with the team.

He's not a great player right now but just like every young player, teams are banking on potential.

You are seeing what you want to see and you want him to fail. I may not like everything the Nets do or every player they sign but I'm never going to wish that a player fails and that they get shipped out asap. I hope every player that dons a Nets jersey plays their best basketball.

We've heard your talking points. Your criticism is reaching the point of conjecture and ad hominem attacks. It needs to stop.

Let's for a second pretend you aren't trolling.

Are you seriously wishing for the future of our franchise to fail? You don't want to see the nets succeed? That's lame.

It is a problem for sure but it's a problem that LAL had before Russell's arrival. At the end of Kobe's run, they weren't playing good team basketball. Byron Scott did more chastising in public than positive coaching, stood by while "inmates ran the asylum" and complained that there is no order while he was the one in charge. I don't think a careless gunner mentality is ingrained in him.

I expect Kenny to do a ton of guiding which will in turn lead to Russell showing a bit more restraint and being more judicious with the ball in his hands.

I don't think he is as off from being a good player as some. A few tweaks to his game here and there and a slight increase in athleticism would make him quite dangerous IMO.

Angelo Russell's bad defense will be a big problem to nets , he better be the 6th man and play only 15 mins before he improve defense...

Return to Brooklyn Nets
