He has us missing the playoffs, if it's lotto protected he'll think we keep it.

Can we just find a taker for Damian Jones $2.3m contract for free? That money is wasted on the dude, and he's taking a roster spot, and he sucks.

I'd trade him for a pack of crisps at this point.

Memphis has a very smart front office and they have had an excellent off-season so far. No way a smart GM would be talked into taking Jones.

So you think they'd balk at taking on 2 more mil in a deal that gets them expirings for money they aren't gonna use plus a basically unprotected pick? Common now.

EDIT: I'm not saying there's still time the deal is what it is just saying Bob should have dumped all his bad money (Shaun included) if he was gonna trade an unprotected 1rst.

I believe there are two different picks involved. The pick to the Nets as part of the DLo trade is heavily protected, so heavily protected that it will likely end up as a 2nd round pick. The pick to Memphis as part of the Iggy trade has descending protections frm year to year: 2024 (protected 1-4), 2025 (protected 1) and 2026 unprotected.

Memphis waived Avery Bradley today, seems like a guy we could use, no? I wouldn’t mind it at all if it’s possible.

Avery Bradley waived-- he got anything left in the tank?

He's only 28 but every time I saw him last season it seemed like he was at the end of the line. Even on defense, which was always his strong suit.

Agreed. But I'm still not sure we're better off with Poole or Evans in the rotation.

Clippers will be tough to beat with Kawhi and PG. The West will be a super division.

PG spent two years with Westbrook and was like "I can't take this **** no more" ... not enough credit given to Durant for the hard time he did.

Definitely but these Clips and Lakers are more beatable than the hypothetical LeBron/AD/Kawhi Lakers.

If the Warriors get an elite 3&D guy and once Klay is back and up to speed, I think they can compete with both these Lakers and Clippers for the West.

We should sign Marcus Morris. Slide green to SF. We need forwards who can score so pg13 and Leonard cant focus on guarding our dlo/curry backcourt

I don’t like that, Green is strictly a 4 and occasional 5.

Maybe Morris can play the 3? He's a tweener anyway. Or convince him to back up the 4.
