In a relative sense considering the circumstances of having no help, it's not garbage, but it's adjaysont to garbage.

I'd do it, but I feel like I might be badluck, as I made the one for game 7 of Raps/Sixers series lol.

Remember it’s individual scoring, and it’s not Shaq/Hakeem like either.
The double down for scoring while letting go some defensive prowess doesn’t exactly push us to the next level. The people around him don’t maximize his value.
25/11/3/2 type numbers on 20 shots +50% FG while playing DPOY defense that’s the sweet spot.
We live in the 3ball era now
Embiid can go for 30+ Heck he did just that last year. That’s all well and good but what is the cost here? What is the usage/time soak on the clock? What is the turnover ratio like? What is the true efficiency like?
Heck Davis has been a monster playoff performer basically when he first played. He started to win a series/series’s behind Holiday/Rondo 2x/LBJ/Caruso. It’s a lot to fall back on as floor man ship goes.
Both Ben & Embiid need each other to function well but when together they also bring out both their own inherit flaws which neither have shown the maturity to fix. Harris added is a bad fit which compounds it.
Bucks have the right formula and it’s not like Middleton/Holiday are otherworldly either, they function to mask Giannis weaknesses (iso/perimeter scoring).
Lucky we have as things go an easier run to the ECF. I mean the Heat right now would cause us a ton of trouble.
I like all our players. But I’m staying in context here. Thybulle might be the greatest defender ever but he puts up 3 points a game. That’s not going to work. It’s theory vs reality with this team atm
We have bit part players.
Two most important things we don’t have:
1. High level outside creators (Booker)
2. High level floorman ship in the halfcourt (CP3)
Just divy up the two into Lillard or in the off-season go for leather. I hope we do well
but man oh man it won’t surprise me if this gets really ugly down the line.

They're walking into the playoffs collectively playing at a high level so our defense needs to be dialed in.

What?
Embiid 2nd in the NBA in usage, Curry is 3rd.
Embiid makes his living in the post, and he still can't pass out of a double team.
Curry is a scoring pg shooting off the dribble, driving the lane or being assisted by a playmaker (Draymond).
I don't see how they fit?

Maybe I'm having a brain fart, but I can't think of many high usage guard/center combos.Stanford wrote:Now that I think about it, I can't name a single high usage guard and center combo that has ever won a championship.

I'm guessing Kobe and McGrady don't count. Maybe Murray/Jokic. Any others possibly out there?

the plan is to get as good as quickly as possible....I fully believe we could have been a borderline playoff team last year by adding young veterans....using or draft picks and cap space.....can I specifically tell you who? no.
