Re: Box Office: The James Bouknight Thread
I hope we don't have another Malik Monk situation in Bouknight.

Looks like he said something to the coach, and the coach told him to get lost.
(Rookies are to be seen on the bench and not heard.)

He hasn't sniffed the white powder yet so we might be ok.

It is good to see LaMelo acting as the peace maker there. He was the first to pull Bouknight away. Leadership being shown by the young fella...

Melo also seems to be the one who is most friendly with Bouk on the bench, so he was probably also trying to save his guy from the repercussions
Either way, I agree. It's a good sign that Melo stepped in and shut down the drama before it got worse.

Re: Box Office: The James Bouknight Thread
despite his evident talent I gave this draft choice a D and still do not understand when there is no path to playing time for a young SG on this roster why you choose Bouknight over a Center, a position of dire need, in that draft = setup for failure

The next center chosen was....Kai Jones, who we took
Sengun is a PF in the mold of PJ Washington
I don't support domestic violence. Thanks Miles

Can’t risk playing him and a potentially real injury.
That’d make it harder to trade him this week.

He was kicked out of the uconn game today for some reason.

Re: Box Office: The James Bouknight Thread
He’s starting to come across as a real a-hole.
His lackadaisical mannerisms on the court have been bad enough.
The things off the court with JB, LaMelo and now this is looking even worse.

""That was not an ideal scenario because we were playing bad and kind of melting down a bit," UConn coach Dan Hurley said. "He got tossed. I didn't really see what happened. And then I saw him again somewhere near the student section."
Basically stating his ex player was being childish.

not surprising, but also pretty far down on my list of reasons i'm still annoyed we drafted him.

He's on a solid Malik Monk trajectory. Maybe even worse.

In isolation, sure.
But when you look at the totality of his personality/mannerisms/actions it’s starting to add up. Then on top of that you consider his actual ability (or more so possible holes in his game) and the picture being painted is not great.
Not saying he’s a lost cause just yet, but he sure isn’t trending in the right direction.
