If Griff has (fairly) lost all faith in Payne we need a backup point guard in the worst way.
He was cleared to play but isn't 100%. Given the big lead I think that's why he's sitting.

Is he still in concussion protocols?

If Jrue is better off over there, he should probably give his ring back.
why? to appease homers who are glum he went to a better team and were worse off for it?
his quote is the dead honest truth. we supposedly punted him for "an upgrade". cant imagine how that felt for him. with whats happened since i like his balls for saying what now looks obvious. why shouldnt he?
Jrue knew. I got the sense when he waved off other Bucks defenders to cover jimmy butler that he knew the alternative was worse, like he'd had enough of what was going on around him. Because Jrue doesn't seem like a guy who'd pull some bull out of the blue for no reason: he seems candid, clear, capable of being in the right place at the right time-- Compare Game 6 of the Nets series where Jrue & Middleton run the full length of the floor in transition without a single dribble just sweet passing back & forth. Need to watch it again but it'll be highlights i guess. Did we ask Jrue to do too many conflicting things vs miami w/o the kind of synced play that would allow him and the bucks to transcend. You're for more the expert, all I can do is speculate. BUT ! :: as you say,
1000% he's dead ass honest. He's got a defined role, the focus to reliably do a couple things well, and a system that seems to regularly roll out guys like pritchard and hauser for substantial contributions but no overreliance. Am I wrong, or did all that ball movement disorient bucks fans, because those two guys cleaned up against bud's system and the contrast looked sharp enough that it wasn't fun to watch and for Jrue, after the initial shock, it must've been a surprise Inverse-Dame-to-Heat move: he didn't ask to go anywhere and somehow ended up w/the Celtics
