I’m hoping he surprises with his playmaking this season.

He had underrated playmaking last season tbh, just too many possessions where he looks for himself only.

Most people talk as there are zero redeemable qualities about players when they don't like someone though.

Guilty as charged. I think a lot of Cole’s playmaking comes from his reputation as a scorer and his passes come as more of a surprise to the defense.

Hopefully being “the veteran stabiliser” of the 2nd unit will help him slow down and be more selective with what he’s doing.

Think there will be rest days for the vets for sure, and natural injuries too. Everyone will get a chance to shine. What will be interesting will be a potential playoff rotation though. I still don't think he'd trust three "rookies" at once in that scenario, but one of Black, Jett or TDS will separate themselves as trustworthy IMO.

I never once said Anthony Black wasn't going to be a point guard in the NBA at some point.

I never really said he had no ability to make plays for other people either.

I said, correctly, that the Magic used him in a non-point guard role last year - which is completely true.

I'm very glad they appear to be primed to not do that again. I wish they hadn't done it last year either because I think he'd be further along this year.
