I assume there's still lots of enthusiasm for reuniting Pritchard and Bol.

Joe will use a lineup of KP, Q, Luke, Bol, and JT.

Quadruple big lineup.

Bol and Pritchard have been reunited on the Celtics already (january 2022).

I just posted this on the JD Davison page but wanted to post it here also.

I have a feeling that Springer and our 1st this year will be traded for a high 2nd, say to Charlotte that has 2 2nd round picks in the first five picks, opening up another roster spot and not making us have to sign someone to a guaranteed contract for next season. Then I could see Brad calling up Peterson and JD to finish the season on a one-year contract with a 2nd year team option. The Springer trade would give us 2 high 2nd round picks to fill our 2-way player slots with Peterson and JD on option with the big club.

The trade JB/JT and blow it all up is crazy to read. Imagine being a 76ers fan right now? I’ll take those two over any empty year past or present of Joel Embiid in a heartbeat.

I’m know I’m very harsh on JD, but he’s not worth any pick better 50th imo. A 2nd round pick between 31 and 39 will be for a proven NBA player starter or reserve.

Nah this isn’t football, teams don’t trade starters for picks in the thirties.

I’m still in the camp of going for it this year. The writing is on the wall that this Celtics team is having their last run at it this season.

New ownership, heavy tax penalties and strict limited flexibility. Next year’s Celtics team will look very different. Put all your effort into going for it this year. Brad Stevens has to make a significant move at the trade deadline even if it requires multiple picks. Give yourself the best possible chance.

In my opinion, I think there is no chance the unit of Tatum, Brown, White, Holiday and Porzingis will be intact for next season. Who knows, Celtics could also be finished with Al Horford after this year. Now is the time before it all gets pulled apart.

Unless of course, the Celtics plan on tearing it down starting at this Feb 6th trade deadline but I highly doubt they would do that

Next season will be the year the Cs will pay repeater tax.

Cs will have no choice but to go under the tax line and right now or after the season.

That means getting rid of Jrue and Springer now will allow the Cs to keep JT, JB, KP, White, PP, and Sam for 2025-26.

If the Cs go all in and wait until this season is over, Cs would have to sacrifice Jrue and Sam or just move JB to keep most of the core together.

If Cs trade Jrue this season, Cs can keep JT, JB, KP, White, PP, and Sam for 2026.

Brad and the Cs have a big decision to make.

The 3 dollar for every 1 dollar repeater penalty is just too expensive.

So dramatic.

2025 is the last run?

All these guys are signed through 2027..

Image

Tatum is signed through 2029..brown and white signed through 2028..

Buckle up. And grab a snickers..it's gonna be awhile.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

I did the math and it's only half true that this goes all the way to 2029.

If the Jays are to be intact until 2029 and beyond, the Cs would have to go under the tax line this season or next season.
Otherwise it would be a 500m+ payroll for the new owner/s.

I think the Jays have a 3-window timeline.

2024 to 2026 is the 1st window.
That includes the current starters, Al, PP, and Sam.

2026 to 2028, the 2nd window will most likely be compose of the Jays, KP, PP, Sam, Queta, Walsh, and some of the G-League players.

The 3rd window, 2028 and beyond is hard to speculate, but the Jays will still be in their prime maybe until 2032-33.

At Least one of them will be traded. The fact that they are signed just makes even more likely. LOL!

Guarantee you the Celtics are not paying $500+ million is salary and luxury tax payments next year. Someone is going.

I think Cs will keep the Jays together, along with KP.

Jrue and White are the ones likely to go.
