I'm hoping we'll respond positively, a kind of us-against-the-world attitude.

Is there any chance Miller could be suspended for punting the ball?

Just so that you understand, you can wantonly type for someone to STFU, if I were to do that I would either receive a "warning" from the moderator or a suspension like I have in the past. I'm just that cool. I don't have the complete freedom to demean/insult or even imply anything demeaning or insulting about real gm members. I can ONLY do those sorts of things to basketball players, NOT real gm members EVEN in my own defense, so I'll gracefully bow out and revel in my coolness...

What really sucks as a result of this, is that the effort of Thad and Lou is going unnoticed (for the most part). We should applaud these two for even giving us a chance to win tonight. They both came up CLUTCH.

We got a future with these two (especially Thad).

What I can't figure out is why SendEm gets SO off on pizzing everybody off around here.

It is possible to have serious, animated, spirited disagreements on this forum...where you can even use this forum to "get off" on yourself, so to speak. But you don't have to to do it in a way that makes the majority of posters detest you. I know that, over the years, I have had disagreements/issues with certain regulars around here (you know who you are), but I've really never felt that it has crossed the line to where a bunch of people were pizzed at me...perhaps I am wrong.

This is a forum of Sixers fans...an internet version of a bar where there are a bunch of 60" plasmas showing the Sixers in HD, and we can all have a beverage of our choice and talk about the Sixers...I don't need to be best buddies with everybody at the bar, but I also don't want to spend the majority of my time picking fights and annoying people, either....and for the life of me, I have never understood why a regular who comes to this forum a lot would engage in a posting style that seems to have a goal of annoying as many people as humanely possible. It seems to go directly against what this place is - a place where I can sit in front of a computer and share thoughts/ideas/laughs with Sixers fans all over the world.

Right?

I'm not saying there can't be disagreements....that is part of what makes this forum a fun place to come to. But to CONSTANTLY post things that are SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED to pi$$ off people?

I don't get it. Never have...never will.

the reaction to SendEm is more annoying than SendEm himself

sure his Iggy posts are old and most likely just there to piss us off, but he isn't the one that fills the thread up with "STFU about Iggy", "Thank god for ignore!", and "where are you after the good games?"

SendEm is a contrarian. I'm not sure if it is natural or motivated, but either way I got no problem with it. I am a contrarian very often myself as well.

I typically am anti any opinion that gets ultra popular just for the hell of it.

Sucks that the Sixers lost, but I think the point that Pure Hatred made about using this as motivation is right on.

This game might be a tiny blessing in disguise if the team regains an "us against the world" mentality.

I was watching this game on my cell thru ESPN all game and to come home thinking we won because every body thought we did is real dissapointing. Then to come on here and have to listen to Sendem bad mouth our entire team makes it even worse. You want to know why everyone calls you Ricky? Because you act just like Ricky and he was banned for life because of how he acted. I honestly dont believe your a Sixer fan. All you do is bring down the moral of "our" board so that you can feel good about yourself. Do you ever show up when Dala has a good game? No! Do you ever talk about other players who have bad games? No! You are a cancerous tumor on the brain of "our" forum and need to be removed before you allienate all of the good posters on here. You know that the Mods are watching you closely so you even ammitted to wording you post the right way just so that they cant ban you. Im tired of coming on here to read about the Sixers and to have a nice conversations about the game with fellow Sixer fans but we have to constanly read your post degrading our very "own" Sixers. I thought this was going to be a good time to be a Sixer fan because we have made the playoffs but you have taken all of the fun out of it and you are the one bad part to this entire season. Its amazing how one poster like you can bring down the moral of the entire board when we should be celebrating how well this team has played and put themselves into the playoffs. I pray to god that you will just stop posting here or get banned because you slipped up and said something you shouldnt have. Im sorry to the Mods if I said something out of line but this is just how I feel and im pretty sure 95% of the posters on this board feel the same way. To come home thinking we won the game then to come on here and find out we didnt sucked. Then to have you basically kick "your fellow Sixer fans" when they are down makes it even worse. We shouldnt have to deal with it. I hope someone quotes me because I know he has me blocked but he needs to read this. He has to realize what he is doing to this board. And to the Mods, I know your hands are tied because hes found a loophole so I do not blame you. I think we have some of the best Mods on here. I thankyou for volunteering your time.
Andre Miller is a bad 3pt shooter.

That was the worst final seconds of a basketball game I've ever watched in the HISTORY of my experience in the NBA. Hell, if Cleveland had any sportsmanship even THEY should protest. The referees didn't think LeBron traveled and they're the ones who helped those guys with the game, so you can't go there. Here's where we will go. It's NOT a foul when you get pushed by the OFFENSIVE player into another. When boxing out, the two forearms usually cling together. Even if Z pushed him in that position, from the law of psychics Dalembert would've fell to the right. Dalembert fell straight down. And he was standing perfectly still before the contact. How their announcers can say "Justice is served" or if they can concievethat you "won" this basketball game is a joke. Last I checked, what Zydrunas Ilgasukas did was an OFFENSIVE FOUL.

I just came in to say you guys got raped in the worst way possible in a basketball game.

LeBron's travel was hilariously obvious, and then Devin Brown was barely touched. That was potentially the biggest bail-out call I've ever seen in all my years watching NBA games.

Sorry about that, guys. Seriously. Good luck against Detroit.

SendEm wrote:I said a while ago that when playoff basketball rolls around and teams start game planning Iggy playing him for the pull up jump shot everything would CEASE! Lebron closed the distance on defense forcing him to attempt to beat him off of the dribble and Iggy didn't have the moves. Since when did Lebron become a good defender?

As I mentioned the last game against the Cavs...Lebron single handedly shut Kobe down in the 4th a few weeks ago...nobody else does that. Lebron can play D when he wants to. Last night, he played some D...probably had a few reach ins that were overlooked, but when you are aggressive on D, you can get away with some contact.

It's shocking that someone with your great basketball knowledge (at least self proclaimed) wouldn't know this.

While I'm still a little pissed about the call last night, the bottom line is the team put themselves in this position with their mediocre play over the last two weeks. They had a chance to get as high as 4, and certainly should not be faced with a first round matchup to detroit, but they've gone 3-6 over their last nine, and now are in a very precarious position. Hopefully this allows Cheeks to rest Iggy (who obviously could use a few days rest), and gives this team some attitude in the playoffs.

The worst thing about playing Detroit is that Mo will start Reggie because of Detroit's frontline. We're at such a disadvantage with our starting 5.
