@ByTimReynolds: Person close to Mario Chalmers says he, Heat are working on deal for him to stay. "Nothing finalized," person says.

If rio stops flopping and becomes motivated (I think our team will have that under dog mentality)

Then okay... Don't smack anyone Rio

I guess that means we have no shot at Eric Bledsoe.

I was never down on Chalmers like most posters here. He's not a star but has been productive for us.

And Ariza for 8 mil per year? And we're going after Deng for 14 mil? :nonono:

I think it was the system. Gasol was looking for a contender that played a system that was conducive to his game. I think that was the reason why Gasol did not give Miami a real look. Miami offensive system and D'Antoni system are very similar.

Our system was predicated on maximizing LeBron's strengths. Before LeBron, we played a style that Gasol would've been really good in.

Rio is a quality player who has had a lot of great moments here. Only five players didn't take DNP-CDs during our last title run: Big Three, Ray and Rio. He was outplaying Parker by the end of the Spurs series. The guy was valuable and there was often a huge drop-off when he was replaced with Cole.

And we'd presumably get at a fair price, given his Finals performance. I like this.

Our biggest addition this offseason comes to us via subtraction.

Bye Bye Fat. No amount of championships can make your presence bearable.

wow, remember hiim being hurt but dont remember it being his spine... thas not a good sign :o

Thibs ran this dude to this ground

We won't do that... Spo better not do that, spo actually didn't even do that to Lebron in the regular season

Except Lebron played a lot more total minutes and pretty much the same mpg. You're giving Spo credit and dinging Thibs based on Lebron never getting hurt. Switch the coaches and Deng is still the one getting hurt.

The system is really using post players as a hub for passing though. It actually fits Gasol perfectly. We didn't ask for Bosh to step outside for any other reason than Lebron and Wade are by far the best passers on the team. If we had gotten Pau, I actually think we make noise in the playoffs.
