Anyone who has a problem with the way Parker answered that question, no matter who said it, should check themselves because it means they have a bias against the player (which seems to happen, and is pathetic when you think about it). That was a great answer, especially as a Bucks fan.

Can any of you stat guys easily list out the stats for Wiggins and for Parker only in their last ten games? I.e was one guy ascending over his season averages more than the other?

I have no problem with it. I'm saying there would almost certainly be a double standard between reactions from a lot of people had Wiggins said that.

The only part that scares me about passing on Jabari is how grounded this guy is. It is hard to bet against guys like this, and his intangibles are pretty much everything the Bucks and this City have needed since Moncrief.

"Definitely not" when asked if he wants to be the #1 pick. In some alternate universe Wise is spinning this 1000 ways how he won't go and shouldn't go #1 after Wiggins had said that.

I know you're hurting but come on, don't take the comment out of context. Jabari is saying that he'll play for any team that wants him...it's not about the number one pick. Far cry from saying that you "prefer" Philly.

Heh. Kirby bought that same alert software that Epi used back in the day when Stotts name would appear here.

He's saying he doesn't care about the prestige and title of the number 1 pick. If Wiggins said that you'd certainly have spun it in a negative way. Guaranteed.

What do people say about Wiggins' BBIQ/feel for the game?

I think Parker can eventually become a good defender because of his good feel for the game. Remember when people said Bogut would never be a good defender because of his physical limitations? Well, he used his smarts to make up for it. I think Parker has that potential. I also think he'll work on his body to mitigate some of his weaknesses.

I have no idea who I want though, between the two.

He'd certainly have been up there with Parker in discussions. He had a great freshman season overall and showed games with exceptional potential. After that last couple weeks he'd be the talk of the town in the prospect ranks rather than "well, where was that the rest of the reason". I think there's a ridiculous double standard between Parker and Wiggins. Parker wasn't consistent throughout the whole season and has areas where he certainly doesn't shine yet he's looked at almost exclusively by his end of the season production, usually even inflated by per 40, yet Wiggins is looked at for certain games and picked apart like none other. If Wiggins said he definitely did not want to be the first pick like Parker did in that interview he'd be torn apart saying he doesn't want it or he's just preparing for a fall on draft night. Parker does it and he's just this humble likable superstar.

This just isn't true. The Mercer game has been mentioned more then any one game by Wiggins. Parker was recently being picked a part for his conference play as well.

Wiggins was asked a similar question on First Take about a month ago, and gave a similar humble answer saying it wouldn't be the end of the world if he didn't go number 1 and that it's been a lot of great players that didn't go number 1 and had a great career. He wasn't torn a part for it. Most of us chalked it up to him being humble. I'm pretty sure I posted about it after watching it.

P, we're so past that now. It's crunch time. The evaluation of these players will boil down to their skill level more than anything else. How fast, how high you jump.....that's all gravy. I think the decision makers are going to look at the entire college season heavily and not put excess weight on any small sample of games.

Parker's answer to the draft question provides another clue. Parker and Embiid have the same representative. Parker may already know that Cleveland in all likelihood will take Embiid first so its natural that he would back away from the talk of being taken number one much like the guy that said he prefered to play in Philly. Jabari saying that he'll play for any team that "wants" him may signal that Cleveland doesn't and Milwaukee does. Damage control on Parker's part as well. Plausible.

When did Wiggins say he'd prefer to play in Philly ? Did this happen on some alternate universe that I don't know about ?

I just listened to the Parker/Hill interview: To pull something negative out of that just shows an obvious bias against Parker. All he said was he will play hard for whoever selects him. It's not all about "look at me, I need to be #1"-it was a good answer. What I got from that is a player that is well spoken and seems grounded. A good guy to pal around with GA. You really can't go wrong with Wiggins or Parker. The Bucks were lucky to be able to stay in the top 3.

Wiggins, himself has never said he wants to play in Philly. Has all been he hopes to go number 1 no matter where that is.

Another take away from the interview: Grant Hill, still in shape.

The interesting thing for me is that I like all of the top 3, heck even Exum too. It's been hard to join in the discussion and have really strong opinions because I would like any of these guys on our team going forward. It makes for fun reading though.

These photos with Exum and 16 year old fan boys aren't helping his stock. He looks remarkably average size next to them.
