GSW fan here. What do NYK fans want for Udrih? Would Bazemore and a future 2nd round pick be enough?

Trust me on this Bazemore is garbage. I'd rather see GSW dump Bazemore for a position of need and then look to sign a better player out of the DLeague to replace him in the not so distant future. All you'd get is some sort of late 2nd round pick in the distant future. Right now GSW needs veteran PG help.

Suns fan here wondering if the Knicks, should they continue to falter, would even consider blowing it up and at least getting rid of Chandler, Felton, etc. and maybe dealing Melo. This team isn't anywhere near a championship, and making lateral moves involving Shumpert and desperate attempts at Rondo that won't work seems foolhardy. But am I being nutty myself?

Teams should already pay attention to our losing situation.

I wouldn't be surprised if teams are offering us a chance to blow it up and they want Melo.

If Rockets offer Lin and Asik and future 1st for Melo, I'd do it.

any chance we can package Shumpert and Hardaway Jr for our #1 pick back. it's so depressing that we don't have our pick in the most anticipated draft in nearly a decade.

Why is there all this love for Rondo.
The dude is still recovering from an ACL injury. He is also one of the worst 3 point shooting PG in the league.

He does bring a lot of other intangibles but the ACL injury might not be healed until 2015 or 2016.

Are we looking to still win now with Melo in his prime?

This seems to be a point a lot of people are overlooking.

We don't know how Rondo will be after the ACL and the Nuggets didn't have any real success until they had a PG that could hit the three (Billups). Andre Miller is a good playmaking / passing point, but couldn't hit a three to save his life, and teams just packed the paint. Granted, those Nugget teams had no one who could shoot either.

This can never work in Houston.
Harden and Melo are 2 of the heaviest ISO players in the league.

Besides, Dolan and his minions don't think Lin is a NBA PG.

we need a pick in this draft... basically at all costs. Hey Detroit wants to win now, right? Why don't we take back some post 2015 contracts if they take, say, Melo and Shump, but in return we get their first round pick.

I think Detroit wants to win now and Sacramento wants to win now. Tell them to give us their pick, we'll give them Melo and we get back, say Josh Smith & Stuckey/Charlie V. Fine, it's like 30 cents to the dollar, but we get the 2014 pick.

Sacramento has new owners, they want to win now too. Trade them whoever they want from our team, but give us the pick.

Folks,
Let's not get crazy.

Dolan already mortgaged the next few years of this Franchise to get Melo. Melo isn't going anywhere. When they got Melo, they signed up for mediocrity. The idea of building a franchise from the ground up like the Pacers are impossible for this organization. Trading for superstars to win it all rarely works too.

Folks, let's get crazy.

Knicks re-tool for 2 years for a better, slightly younger team around Melo.

Boston gets out from all their contracts and gets Shumpert in exchange for giving up Rondo.

NJ goes from Lopez to Chandler, a much needed improvement, along with some bench support for a run.

Knicks Send:
Chandler / Amare / Shumpert

Knicks Receive:
Rondo / Brook Lopez / Wallace / PP (probably retires immediately...)

Boston Sends:
Rondo / Wallace / Lee

Boston Receives:
Amare / Shumpert

NJ Sends:
PP / Lopez

NJ Receives:
Chandler / Bargnani / Lee

Yes, it works

I'm a Celtic fan who would like Rondo traded but only for a good/fair deal from the Boston perspective. Simply put this deal isn't even close.

NY would have to add 2 first round picks for Ainge to even consider it IMHO. It would be somewhat of a different story if Amare's contract ended after this year.

Simply put, getting out of Wallace's contract a year early is nice but it really is no huge deal for the rebuilding Celtics.

The big incentive for the Celtics in any Rondo deal would be to trade him for
1) a much better player -- probably won't happen.
2) an equivalent player who is much younger -- probably won't happen either.
3) a lottery pick and perhaps another top 10 protected pick. This could happen and its what I certainly think Ainge may end up with.
4) Multiple first round picks that could end up lottery and some salary relief.

Lee has actually played well for Boston this year so unlike Wallace, I don't think Ainge is that concerned with getting rid of him. Ainge would probably like to do it but he won't consider it a big deal.
