Re: 2019 NBA Draft Prep
With the 9th pick. I've been leading more and more towards Kevin Porter Jr. I was listening to The Stepien podcast and the guys brought up some valid points. Kevin is a 6'6" shooting guard who can get his own shot, create for others, and defend. If he even reaches 75% of his potential, he's a top 6 shooting guard in the NBA. In this draft, that's what the Hawks need.
Cam Fam and Kevy Porj (See Hazer I can do it too) all day!!!

Kevin Porter to me is the wing with the most potential behind RJ. He could be a legit #1 scorer or he could be (like the Ringer said) JR Smith. He’s going to need reps though. He didn’t get consistent PT in college..

I like him for a team like the Heat or T'Wolves. Not so much for us.

So many PGs are 2nd round options for us. Other than shooting, he would fit stylistically
Edit: Timeout, I dont know why I was thinking about Cassius Winston. LOL!
I like Winston's son Darius. Top notch PG, clearly a top 10 prospect. A lot of Lillard in his game, just not polished

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Prep
As I continued to say, a worse shooting LeVert or Jalen Rose, is that worth a top 15 pick?

He's got a silky smooth stroke, but he's not a very active defender, even with his length.
Bol averaged 2.7 blocks in 29.8 minutes per game. That’s pretty active...Myles Turner led the NBA this year with 2.7 blocks per game by example.

Myles Turner is a superior defender to Bol. It's not even close and never will be. That's like saying LaMelo Ball gets as many steals as Ashton Hagans and trying to ensue that LaMelo is a good defender when he is ass on defense and Hagans is a defensive pest.

Never said he was Myles Turner defensively...my point was that he was active. Thought that was obvious... I think you’re definitely underrating Bol defensively but I guess we’ll see. My biggest concern with him is if he is going to be durable enough. (No clue)

I don't want to stop you guys' argument. I kinda hope it devolves into name-calling and interweb threats.

Seriously though, I think KingSupes is illustrating how it can be problematic to use blocks (and steals for that matter) as an illustration of how good a guy is on defense.
I'm not even sure Bol's blocks illustrate his activity really either.
Anyways, carry on ...

I agree with this. Being active and being a good defender is different though.
I believe Bol will be a good defender based on the few games/clips (some good ones of him on the NBA draft board) I’ve watched...also all of his advanced stats have him as a plus defender in every category. (DBPM, Def win shares, Def rating, Def rebounding) Unfortunately, all of it’s a small sample size..but I would still be willing to take the risk if the foot checks out and we don’t get Zion.

interweb threats? That’s only when discussing Jazz all time great #32 and comparing him to the Hawks not so all time great #15 (no not Vince)..
Hawks #15 ... Hawks #15? Sidney Moncrief? No, can't be Sidney. Uhm, Donta Smith? Man, who'm I missing?
