I want to keep Hedo because if he's horrible again this season we can just cut him next summer and his contract is a lot more of a salary cap eater than J-Rich's.

If teams don't want Hedo, they better take a few of Duhon, J-Rich, Q-Rich, and probably Glen (who I like a lot, but we're rebuilding and dumping as much salary as possible).

Hedo can be a nice facilitator with Bynum and BBD. Would make for an interesting offense.

Love me some breaking bad.

Andrew Nicholson has a physics degree, not a chemistry degree.

However, Werner Heisenberg was technically a physicist not a chemist so your idea still holds. There is such a tight bond between mathematics and all natural sciences that it in the end it is hard to differentiate between them in terms of new research. I'm an applied mathematician but I often feel like a physicist.

I was correct, even though it was only a convenient technicality. #winning

I believe he originally started out in chemistry, but switched to Physics...

imo i don't think Bynum and BBD can coexist.....for some reason i feel like their personalities will clash....Bynum or not i want to see what i can get on the Market for BBD......If we can get a nice piece then trade him.....

If we cut Hedo, he'd cost roughly $6M against our cap.

If we stretched JRich, he'd cost roughtly $2.6M against our cap (over a drawn out period though).

So it depends how you look at it.

So if HOU gets Lin and Asik and wants to keep KMart, then how is that going to work in a trade??

Lin - 8 million
Asik - 8 million
KMart - 13 million
Patterson - 2 million
Douglass - 2 million
Morris - 2 million
Forbes (who? lol) - 1.5 million
Donatas - 1.4 million
Brockman - 1 million
Parsons - 1 million (rnd up)
Harrellson - 1 million (rnd up)
Jordan - 1 million (rnd up)

$42 million total

$16 million cap space

Patterson/Morris/Douglass/Parsons/Brockman = 8 million + 16 million cap space = 24 million

Howard - 19 million
JRich - 6 million
Duhon - 4 million = 29 million

So trade if they kept KMart would HAVE to be

Howard/JRich/Duhon for Patterson/Morris/Douglass/Parsons/Brockman/Lamb/White or Jones + picks

If I am NOT mistaken...

Nelson/Douglass
Lamb/Redick/Liggins
White/Parsons/Hedo/Q
Patterson/Nicholson/Morris/Harper/Clark
BBD/Ayon/O'Quinn/Brockman

hedo: $11.8mil, $12mil ($6mil guaranteed)

jrich: $5.8mil, $6.2mil, $6.6mil (player option)

BBD should never be the starting center of any team unless it's football.

Ok apparently I was wrong and the Knicks will not be matching. Lin's officially on the Rockets payroll now. I know we want Houston to have as much cap space as possible, but I think this pushes Houston harder to get Dwight and hopefully increases their offer. In the end, the Knicks not matching for Lin could be beneficial for us. One thing for sure though is there is def no benefit to us for the Bulls not matching on Asik. I understand that technically a deal could still be done but a much better one can be done without Asik on their payroll.

PLEASE CHICAGO MATCH FOR ASIK!

Bored and thinking out loud...lol

If we made this trade...

Howard/JRich/BBD/Duhon

for

Bynum/Gasol

What seed in the East are we next year?? I say 5th

Nelson/FA
Redick/Liggins
Hedo/Clark/Q
Gasol/Nicholson/Harper
Bynum/Ayon/O'Quinn

We would have a huge frontcourt advantage in size.

"The parameters of the deal are reportedly agreed upon, but the deal appears to be contingent on Howard’s willingness to sign a contract extension with the Lakers."

Other reports claim that Orlando has been in talks with Lakers (and other teams) for days and that there is nothing about today's meeting that should be mistaken for an imminent deal. As usual, everyone is reporting something different. Its hard to get overly excited or discouraged about any rumors at this point.

bynum is the best player being mentioned in trades, but the lakers have no young talent or draft picks to offer

I want to know why there haven't been any floating rumors about Orlando acquiring anybody of consequence, just to even raise trade offers??

I doubt anyone here could give a true answer to this but my assumption is that Orlando is just sitting back and letting the Lakers and Rockets fight it out. Whoever is left standing with the best offer gets Dwight. This may turn out to be a compromise such as the rumored deal involving Dwight to LA and Bynum to Houston. Either way, it appears that most teams have folded and that includes the Brooklyn Nets.

I am checking the rumor mills as much as anyone else in anticipation of a deal but I believe Hennigan is doing the right thing in taking his time and waiting this out.

Agreed. That's just ridiculous.

As opposed to the Houston trade? I'd rather have that young talent and great draft picks than Bynum here. I've never been a fan of Bynum at all.
