Interesting that Phil is not interested in begging Melo to stay. There wont be any pathetic billboards around the city ala Lakers &Dwight. Basically we're moving forward towards winning regardless. It's about the team winning not just Melo winning.

Phil is already punking the media, shooting down the rumor that Dolan was interfering with his operation. Phil is a master psychologist. He's going to drive the media crazy with mind games.

I think so too. Kerr has gotten in a few words to Jackson's benefit in this process. That might be the point of it.

I dont see Kerr as the motivational type. Plus he has always had negative things to say about the knicks. Give me an example as to where Steve Kerr has gotten aggressive or angry. We need a leader not a Puppet that just knows the offense.

The injury thing is just an excuse for hope. Or a justification of greed. I been following the sport for a very long time. Might as well say he should get paid now before some unforseen fatal tragedy occurs.

And again. If fear of injury and losing millions was the concern. He would opt in. Prove his shoulders are fine. And get a big contract in a mega spending market next year.

The whole thing contradicts itself.

Carmelo is being instructed to do this so they can get out of town. Not for basketball reasons. But personal or business related reasons.

And that's why Phil Jackson is speaking this way.

Jordan didn't sucker punch him

Jordan 6'6 220
Kerr 6'2 170

Who do you think is gonna win a fight?

Phil Jackson isn't the motivational type either, the guy has Meditation sessions he's

5. Re-sign Melo for much lower than the super max OR sign & trade him for draft picks

He has my full support. I fully expect atleast 3 of these things to happen.

How do you trade an expiring for cap relief?

I could've sworn Tyson had 2 years left, not 1. My apologies!

Kay & LaGreca continue banging the drum.

Kay inferred that Jax is 'gutless.' This is just weird.

The part where Phil said Kerr would be on the list of candidates but he won't divulge anyone else who is a candidate, and that the list is long, plus Kerr talking openly about it to the media. I think that's not how it would unfold most likely, and I think that Phil and Kerr have probably spoken and are coordinating. Phil is helping Kerr a little, and Kerr keeping up the appearance that he may go to New York? Not sure of course. But I don't think it's Kerr in the end.

Kerr's "source" told Isola that he was concerned to go to NYK because of the meddling. Jackson's concerns two steps removed. He's also drumming up interest in the position (as is Harper). It's the pretty girl theory - interest attracts interest.

If Kerr was planning on coming, I'd be surprised that his people would talk to Isola. I'm with you on fake hustle.

“I disagreed with him one time,” Kerr said with a chuckle. “I think he punched me in the face.”

That disagreement happened during a scrimmage at training camp when Kerr took offense to something Jordan said, and he didn’t refrain from expressing his true feelings.

“It was one of the best things that ever happened for me, I needed to stand up and go back at him, I think I earned some respect. But we have a great relationship ever since… you gotta prove it and then once you prove it, you’re fine.”

Damn I'm excited about PJ with the Knicks. He's setting the table for a possible Melo departure.

You have to happy as a Knicks fan.
