Going to be real interesting to see how the rockets play this

My fantasy team went down the toilet weeks ago :waaa:

My first 3 picks were LeBron, Wall, and Chris Paul. Weird scoring league that gives big bonuses for double doubles and triple doubles.

Pro tip: your season will take a downward turn if your top 3 picks all stop playing at once. I also have Rubio, DeAndre Jordan, Elfrid Payton, Millsap, Kanter, LeVert. At one point 8 of my 15 players were hurt.

Marc Gasol is intriguing. I wonder where he ends up. If he's healthy he can move the needle.

He's actually a better shooter than Cousins from range. He sets just as good screens. Excellent passer. Defense in a team scheme I like Marc, but not sure he's a better one on one defender than big Cuz.

I think Gasol would look good in Clipper Land, or I could see him in Sacramento. He would change their pace, but he also would make them a better team. Both teams have some assetts to use in any deal and they might be the type of teams to commit the big money to Gasol.

Grizz is an example that kept a team together for too long past it’s prime. On a fan side it’s awesome for most cases.

So I have a new idea for our starting C spot next season.
Wait for it........

That's right people.............

Mr, Jahlil Okafor.

Hear me out. In the last 2 games, he's produced solid scoring around the rim, grabbed double digit boards, and in his last start with Anthony Davis shelved, he blocked 6 shots. The guy is really talented and big, and still quite young. Yes, his back to the basket game and attitude have all but crippled his once promising career, but you'd have to think that he's been humbled to eff by now with his time on the big stage. If that sort of guy came in with the right attitude as a finisher around the rim, screen setter and shot blocker/changer, he could carve out a really successful niche for us. Being around a winning ball club and next to players that will make life easier ON the court (Not necessarily off the court though, Draymond won't let him coast through practises), could be a big win/win for both player and ball club.

I've read reports that the guy is actually a bit of a dick, but that was around his Philly and NJ days. Maybe he's ready to just contribute and show he can be part of a winning team and culture, and then in a few years prove he's worth a bigger contract and a more prominent role after a couple of titles with us.

He's signed through next season at $1.7 million with the Pels. Not sure what we could use in trade that the Pels might want. Maybe Jacob Evans and Jordan Bell moves the needle? Add in a 2nd? He's sitting behind Davis, Randle, Mirotic and even Solomon Hill for minutes. Was averaging like 8 minutes per night before Davis went down.

Bron Bron has been hurt since xmas but it seems he's been busy trying to get Luke fired.
Man, everywhere this guy goes....
And in an effort to try to 'win now' they will probably trade away their core youth to get some peripheral ring chaser vets to play with bronny.
But they are not winning anything as long as the Warriors are healthy.

Why do we have to give up two guys for one? Darn salary cap.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Oh man. Mavs and their superstar euros.

If KP can heal up that's a filthy duo. Can't imagine that pick and roll.

Knicks making room for KD?

KD, AD, and Kyrie? That would be an instant Final team in East. That trio can beat Curry, Klay, Green....

How would they get AD now, since they traded away KP?

And if they acquire AD, they wouldn't have two max salary slots any more.

Maybe if they got the #1 pick but it seems unlikely #1 pick would be enough for AD.

Bill Simmons has posited more than once that the Warriors are making several other NBA teams more prone to make these big, bet-the-franchise moves, to try to build their own super teams.

Where were these kinds of moves when the Lakers or Bulls were winning multiple titles?

Why not just wait out until Curry and company are in their mid 30s?

I feel really good about this Zingis move ... for the Warriors.

Doncic is the real deal, potential best player in the league and scary as hell. Skilled, smart, tough and out of the gym range. Kind of like a big ass version of Curry. Hamstringing him with a (eventual) max contract injury prone primadonna as hisnwingman is probably the only way to keep him out of our path to future championships.

Well played Cubes, you jackhole.

Or KD let the Knicks know they'd have to open up another max salary slot, so Kyrie could join him there.

No one is lining up to sign to play for Dolan. That hasn’t changed. More than ever elite NBA players care about who they are partnering with and the Knicks ownership is an albatross. That said, making the decision to not to get dragged by a training room hero for another 6 months was a wise one. Singer has been a full blown Mr. Glass with a ton of lower extremity injuries for a young 7 footer. Add to that his petulance while out with another major injury and they wisely pulled the plug. There’s not much the knocks get right in this world. Letting someone else get stuck with that bag of brittle bones is one thing they got right.

Will say one thing about this trade.

Potential buyout target in DJ, though now Cousins is probably expecting playing time, not giving up significant minutes to DJ if he joined the Warriors. But DJ would be a lob target, which would facilitate the Warriors offense.

Maybe to a lesser extent, Wesley Matthews, who's a good 3-point shooter but sometimes tends to force some shots. He's shooting 41.6/38/79.1 this season. But he'd be playable in situations where Cook couldn't because of defensive reasons and might be a good backup to have in case Klay or Steph gets into foul trouble.
