I LOVE THIS GAME!

Not many fanbases deserve to sit through a loss like that more than that one.

Hated to hear Cousins went down with another serious injury (torn quad, iiuc) but loved to see KD foul out in crunch time.

On a side note, they were finally able to calm Lowry down. just in time for him to realize *gasp* game 2's tonite ...

What a crap-butt effort by BKN last night. What's being illustrated in that series is the impact of size/athleticism. PHI has a decided edge in size, athleticism, linth, etc. When they shoot moderately well, that advantage overwhelms BKN.

The Nets are a nice team of try-hard guys and they are well-coached. But when the 6ers are engaged, the Nets have to play at such a high level just to keep up that it's really tough for them to even stay in games.

I hope our management is aware of that. Size/athleticism+a little skill >>>>>> Great skill+moderate size/athleticism.

And can we craft another Derrick White please? I don't wanna pay for the actual Derrick White because I'm afraid he'll turn into a pumpkin like Jonathan Simmons did. But can we find/make another version of our own? That dude is a beast in San Antonio.

RC and Pop keep finding these guys.
I don't like the Simmons comp though - he was never this.

Can I let you in on a little secret. The 2019 Spurs draft pick will also be a stud. Not sure who it is yet but that’s how they roll.

Also Bird I don’t think kg was comparing
Jonathan Sim..nevermind.

Ben Simmons is a beast!!

Without Embiid in there clogging the lane, Simmons can be used properly. If you surround him with 4 shooters, the offense will be damn near unstoppable.

Man I'm so excited about the rest of this OKC-Portland series. Those two teams despise each other and Westbrook and Lillard look like they can't stand one another. That hatred and pettiness is what it's all about in sports, not that buddy-buddy ish we always see in the NBA. Winner of that series will probably face GSW in the conference final.

Frustrating to see some of the underdogs blow their chances of making it a long series.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

Man, we gotta find us one of these. A two way wing capable of defending opposing scorers and able to create their own offense within the confines of the offense.

Kawhi has been amazing. Has there ever been a Hawk player as talented as him?

Kawhi is my top 5 fav non Hawk of all time. Been watching NBA since 84.

The answer is no though I’d say.

I love Westbrook but he has regressed badly. Like when Rose regressed. No one wanted to see it but it's clear. He is still explosive but his first step that used to be world class is just iight these days. He doesn't have enough skill to beat you with just skill.

If I am OKC, I know I can't trade PG and Adams due to how the fans love them but I gotta move them this summer. He has two years left. This is the most value you can get for him and Adams. Russ reached his end goal. He will make 47 million in 2023. You gotta rebuild.

What do I think of ol' Chuk McCollum? Eh, still just a high-level specialist. Middle class man's Lou Will.

Beal could lead a team and is like 8 years younger.

Kawhi is the ONLY free agent I want. Perfect for what the Hawks need. Colonel Schlenk keeps on drafting, Coach El-P keeps on coaching, TrATL and The Huert and J-Bap keep on rising, just plug Kawhi into that formula and the Hawks will see the finals. Pull out all the stops, make him honorary mayor, give him Falcons/United/Braves suites, velvet-ropes VIP booth at The Cheetah, free Varsity chili dogs and Frosted Orange for life. Kawhi was “brought in” to Finals caliber teams in SA and TOR, this will be HIS team he “elevates” to that status. Run with Kawhi and our Yoots.
