honestly, at this point, i’d be open to trading bam. i understand his importance to our defensive identity, but his offense is embarrassing and not developing. he’s getting paid way too much for what he provides. package him with some of our bad contracts and see what’s out there. he’s not it…

Zion is just a name right now. Just don’t think he really loves the grind. Maybe if he gets released you take a flyer and get him to buy into the program. He’ll have little motivation on his current deal to get beaten down in our fitness program.

He’s going to age horribly too. He’s an undersized, underskilled big that relies almost entirely on athleticism. What happens when he loses the quickness to stay with smaller guys on the perimeter? Guess we’ll find out with that awful contract he is on.

I've never wanted to punch someone in the face so badly. Really hoping to run into him at a game one day. I won't hesitate.

Yea they need to figure out where he is mentally, that’s a franchise altering move if it works out though

Look at my guy Dyson Daniels once he got out of Nawlins...just sayin'

Zion at his best is a force of nature. Zion at his worst is a fat prick who loves the porn stars. If the price is modest enough, i'd roll the dice. I'd prefer it was in the format that MWP mentioned (buyout and sign), but that seems optimistic. I presume if we trade for him, the same incentives and possibilites are there for us to buy him out if he flops?

I’m willing to take the gamble on a talent like that if he’s there mentally and ready to go

You've wanted Collins since his draft year, MWP. I almost want this to happen for you

I do like Collins and he's playing great this year...but I'll forever be reminded of the time he let a rebound through his hands against Chicago and then it got put in for the win and then he fell down and the whole team celebrated on top of him. And he just let it happen. Made me think he was pretty soft to not fight out of that.

Former Cardinal Newman basketball star John Collins may have had dreams of playing for the Miami Heat, but instead he'll have to get used to seeing his hometown team as a Conference rival. While Collins was available to the Heat as the 14th pick, he was instead selected by the Atlanta Hawks as the 19th pick in Thursday night's NBA Draft.

Time to make his dream come true. Bring Collins home

Found it but this still doesn't fully show to the end just how ridiculous it was to just motionlessly lay there and let it happen. I would of been fighting like hell to get out of there and mad as a hornet!

I know it probably seems kind of ridiculous to hold that against someone...and I don't exactly hold it against him to like the point of not wanting him. He's a skilled, big who can shoot and leap and would help us out to be sure! I would welcome him here and always liked his game. But...to me that situation just showed a lack of competitive spirit and fight and makes me think he's not one to put his body on the line and leave it all on the court. There are many in the NBA like that but here it was on display as he was ok with being embarrassed and having opponents celebrating right literally on his face during a last second loss he could of prevented!

I just can't understand the lack of reaction and it's something that stood out when I saw it live and just will always stick with me. His teammates should of been running in there as well. Maybe my Canadian hockey side is showing but damn that blows my mind haha.

How the heck are the Cavs 22-4 without Max Strus having played a single game yet?

Your post made me take a BBall Ref glance and wow Garland and Mitchell have been lights out from 3! Garland at 42% on 7 attempts per game and Mitchell at 41% on 9 attempts. When you have well rounded guards shooting like that and bigs like Mobley and Allen your going to win a lot of games. They've had to be consistently good every night to put that win % up though for sure.

They've been healthy with those core 4 as well with Mitchell and Garland each only missing 1 game and Mobley missing 2 while Allen hasn't missed any. Levert's been key as well but Strus will be a boost for sure as some of these guys eventually come back down to earth with the law of averages and you need at least some depth. All good athletes with young legs as well with DM the oldest at 28 and Allen next at 26. I'd love to see them get another key bench piece or 2 and give Boston a run.
