Perhaps. But that wasn't the case this past season, so what gives you that indication?

He did not play better than Sanders this season.

This trade is a win for me.

1) We balanced the team.
2) We don't have to draft for a big because of need.
3) We open a roster spot for a free agent.

Now go out and get BPA.

Thanks John

Don't know how ANYONE can bitch about this trade - they move back two and probably will get the same player there as #12 pick- they no longer have to go for a Center - so you can truly go with BPA- I hope that is Ross.

They gave up Leuer- but he is no where near the prospect of Udoh or Sanders- if you think so you are UW color blind. This was a very end of the bench guy. Dalembert is a huge upgrade at Center for the Bucks - and we know he will own Golden State for sure.

No one should be having a problem with this trade- they now can look to the best player available.

Leuer looks to be a decent role player, but a role player and 2 scrubs for a good Center while only moving down 2 spots is hard to get upset about.

I guess I don't get the Sanders love. Sanders looks far closer to being out of the league than to being a productive big. There's nothing there to hold onto, except that he blocks a few shots while fouling at an astronomical rate. Well, maybe he's the next Joel Anthony. Woohoo.

I am not sure that wasn't the case, I know they like Udoh a lot, whether that is them hoping that will justify the trade more or if it is real, they want Udoh on the floor. You also have to remember Udoh came mid season, it's not like he had been on the roster a couple of years. If I remmeber correctly they liked Udoh the year he was in the draft.

WAY too small of a sample- he is completely different player then Sanders who is a inside shot blocking machine. Leuer still was too im love with the perimeter and kind of weak inside. Leuer is no big loss.

I'll take that bet too. Everything I've heard indicates the Bucks remain very interested in seeing if Sanders can keep developing.

This is definitely a good win now trade (despite me not agreeing with the win now philosophy) but I somewhat have to laugh at this being referred to as a "Big Splash"

Check the net points per 100 on/off splits. Sanders defensive impact was off the charts this past season. Leuer didn't impact either side of the ball largely in one direction. What are you using for OVERALL impact? TS or something? There are two sides to the court.

97 PPG given up while Sanders is on the floor. 109 PPG when he wasn't.

Happy with this trade. Thought they would have to move down to 16 to get it done.
Ross or Terrence Jones likely on the board at 14.
Clears the logjam at PF and opens up 2 roster spots by moving 2 PF's in a 3 out 1 in deal.
If Ross is picked maybe Ersan will resign. Now just move Gooden for an overpaid guard John.

I'm not a Bucks or a UW fan (I'm a Pacers fan from Europe) but I like Leuer more than Udoh or Sanders. Udoh and Sanders are better prospects indeed due to length and athleticism but I consider Leuer a lot more polished and dependable.

This is ignoring age and finances. Dalmbert is decent. He's also old and makes what, $6 million more than Leuer? Some of that will be made up for by the difference in contracts between 12 and 14 but Leuer's cheapness made him valuable. Also, Dalembert will only be in Milwaukee for one year or Hammond will have to re-sign him, and we all know how much money Hammond loves to throw at guys on the wrong side of 30. This could conceivably get ugly.
