Well now you have a Lester.

Bye bye Yoenis

Yea for only 3 months

The Cubs trade is looking worst and worst each day. A trio of LHP-Scott Kazmir, LHP-Jon Lester, and RHP-Sonny Gray is good enough to win the AL West and in the playoffs. Trading away a talented 5 tool player and a star in the making in SS-Addison Russell who's only 20-years-old for RHP-Jeff Samardzija who's average and RHP-Jason Hammel who's pretty pathetic was a bad trade. The Jon Lester trade makes sense because Jon Lester is a proven winner and a proven good starting pitcher. The trade for Jeff Smardzija and Jason Hammel doesn't make sense at all especially giving up a very good young SS prospect.

#5: LHP-Tommy Milone

unaware that you don't have Milone anymore?

Yea I knew he got traded today, but I'm just saying if it meant trading SS-Addison Russell just to get RHP-Jeff Samardjiza and RHP-Jason Hammel or just even trading away SS-Addison Russell for RHP-Jeff Samardjiza and moving Tommy Milone to the minor league, the A's should've walk away. Getting a proven winner, a fighter, and a very good starting pitcher in Jon Lester is good enough for the A's starting rotation to win the AL West, in the postseason, and to back away from trading a very good 5 tool SS prospect in SS-Addison Russell. Pretty much what I'm saying is the A's should have never traded SS-Addison Russell to the Cubs for RHP-Jeff Samardjiza and RHP-Jason Hammel.

I'm curious, what are Addison Russell's five tools?

He has good speed, has a good arm, is a good fielder, can definitely hit for average, and can definitely hit for power.

Yea pretty much. It's World Series or bust for the Oakland Athletics.

I don't have nothing against Billy Beane wanting to go for it all this year, but not at the expense of trading away a very good young SS prospect in Addison Russell. Billy Beane should of just traded LF-Yoenis Cepesdes and a draft pick for LF-Jonny Gomes and LHP-Jon Jester and be the end of it.

Kershaw is one hell of a pitcher. That's one guy I'm glad doesn't play in the AL.

wrong.

tip ur cap to these Nats.
they softened the blow of that sweep with their performance this week.

i lol'd at Cliff Lee leaving the game early and then they get blown out off their own park by a team that's selling while Gio Gonzalez is on the mound. :nonono:

every advantage to the Nats this year (considering Braves pitching injuries) and they can't close the deal.

Maybe keeping Cespedes would have help the A's score a run. 1-0 to the Royals :nonono:

Hanley with the walk off last night. Glad our pen held up last night.

Dodgers have the best record in the NL and the biggest division lead in the NL. I don't want to back myself into any corners (Schwab) but I'd love to see this team finish the division off and get HFA in the NL.

We have 4 with the Angels, 3 at Milwaukee and 4 at Atlanta coming up. Tough stretch. But I would rather be a hot team going against any major league squad than a lukewarm team playing teams I know we should beat.

Disappointing that we could only split the four games against Philly at home, but it was good to watch Strasburg dominate yesterday. That's two straight fantastic outings by him. Hopefully he can keep it up, with his next start being in Atlanta on Friday where he has historically struggled big time.

Braves are falling apart. I understand getting swept by the Dodgers, especially against their top 3 pitchers, but how do you get swept by the Padres?

Our team sucks and the Padres were in the middle of a hot streak. I don't know WTF the Nats are doing to keep the Braves only 3 games back.

Yeah we have been pretty mediocre the last couple weeks or so as well.

We could bury the Braves in our series this weekend, but we always struggle vs. you guys especially in your park.
