it was worse before the nets game. nets game was us-49 them 37
before it was
us- 42 knicks 45
us- 37 blazers 46
us- 45 bulls 57
us 33 knicks 52
we even got stomped on the boards by the no Rubio and Wiggin T-Wolves. us 34 them 48.
im pretty interested to see how we cope vs the elite rebounding teams (and players) in the league, also the teams that have multiple all-stars that are high scoring. im not sure we can rely on out gunning teams like we have so far.

Re: Around the NBA 8.0
Im assuming that our new 1 in 4 out philosophy may have something to do with how badly we've been rebounding. Might be wrong, though.

the opposing teams shot too well, not enough defensive rebounds to grab...

he can't get enough shots with Wade and Bosh. Wade/Dragic in particular is a pretty bad fit.

Dragic hasn't been the same since he lost Frye as his pick and roll partner. Those two were so good together.

He got overrated based on one season in which he played above his normal averages.
Some players find comfort in a particular system and combination of players that fit their skill sets which may allow him to play consistently good but once you put him with a group of players that don't fit his strengths then you'll like see bad stats.

Around the NBA 8.0
LAC put up 41 points in the first quarter against GSW, CP3 is going nuts with 23 points on 8 FGAs at the half. Lance is a DNP so far. Honestly feel bad for the guy.

Not as bad but similar is Goran Dragic in Miami -- he was a max-deal player two years ago, now he's barely a 4th option.
Ironically Lawson the true PG got benched for the prototype 6th man Terry.

I know I've been calling for his head for about a year now, but I really think he is doing much better with this years team and there aren't really any good options available to replace him. If we were going to fire him it should have been last year when he was performing poorly and we could have maybe replaced him with someone like Mike Malone. I think he eventually needs to try some different things to address the rebounding and defensive issues we are having, but that and a couple minor rotation things are the only problems I have right now.
what rebounding issues? we're leading the league in DefREB& and might finish first in that department for the third year in a row.
Seems like we've been outrebounded the last few games.
that's pretty much a given for us in close games since we abandon the offensive glass.

^here you can see the effect it has on our transition defense. we just don't give up uncontested buckets on the break:

Thats with one of the best transition defenders in the league sitting on the sidelines.

Re: Around the NBA 8.0
You know what's great? Having a bench that can score, and not fearing the transition from first unit to second unit.
Was looking at the MIL - CLE boxscore and saw that Giannis killed it (12-15 FG, 33 points), Jabari and Monroe combined for 13-24 FG, and Middleton and MCW while not great shot ok. I see that they lost by 15 to CLE and I wonder what gives. Then I look at their bench - they only had 12 bench points to CLE's 39.
So far this season MIL has been a poor defensive team, bottom two in defensive efficiency, bottom 5 in opponent FG%, and ranked 23rd in opponent 3PT%. Bad defense + bad bench = they are going to struggle
You know what is crazy? Only three teams in the East have below .500 records.
