I think that'll be Booker and Skill to a contender at the deadline.

Or we take on a salary dump for a 2018 pick

To me this was expected. I also dont think it means either is safe on the roster. but Marks wasnt going to cheat guys out of any money. I think Skil/Harris could still potentially be waived/traded after camp

If Marks intends to waive or deal them, this was actually not at all a favor by Marks. A favour would've been to let them hit the market and potentially get a better deal elsewhere.

Marks simply did what was best for the franchise in picking up the options on underpaid players.

would you guys take a shot on Jahlil Okafor? philly apparently doesn't see much in him and i think he could thrive here. Have no idea about the asking price, though

Reddick and Olynyk might be good enough for .500.

Fine by me!

Hope for good deals and save cap.
Trade Booker and Hamilton for more cap and wait for another opportunity.

Reddick - 3/45 4th year ungaranteed
Olynyk - 4/50

Lin l Dinwiddie l Goodwin
Russell l Kilpatick.l Whitehead
Reddick l LeVert l Harris
Olynyk l Acy l Nicholson
Movgov.l Allen

3 roster spots with the new roster size.

And add to this, no way can LeVert get nothing but backup minutes at the 3, nor can Russell and Redick get no minutes at the 1 and 2, respectively.

I love the idea of Redick in theory on so many levels. I don't even care much about his age, think he has a lot left in the tank. But the fit is pretty questionable, even if 2 of Kilpatrick, Harris, Goodwin and Dinwiddie are dealt.

Most of his threes are created from his own off the ball movement. Griffin didn't play in this game.

I don't want redick even if he is dirt cheap. He is just a glorified version of Harris. We need defense. Tucker, Igudala and even James Johnson are way better options.

Just because they're both three point shooters doesn't mean they're the same player or even close to it. Plus, JJ is a 41% 3PT shooter over 10 years. Harris was almost out of the league last year.

why is it impossible to think Levert would come off the bench? I would think a big name FA could supplant him as starter. He could still get 20-25 mpg off the bench, nothing awful for his development of anything IMO. Then when Lin is gone in a couple years, move starters to Russell / Levert / *signed player*

You know, I know a lot of you guys won't like this idea, but I can see something along the lines of:

We strikeout on Otto Porter.

San An wants to sign Griffin and 1 of Holiday or Lowry. Pau has opted out.

They ship LMA here for either Nicholson/Harris/Goodwin or Dinwiddie...

or

LMA/18 1st for Hamilton/Harris/1 of Goodwin/Dinwiddie

then

We sign Redick.

Move one of LeVert or Russell to 32mpg 6xth man with RHJ and Kilpatrick/who's left of Dinwiddie/Goodwin.

It makes a lot of sense.

Lin/Russell/Dinwiddie
Redick/Russell/Kilpatrick
LeVert/RHJ
LMA/RHJ/Nicholson
Mozgov/Allen/Nicholson

That's an above .500 playoff team in the East, even fighting for the 3 seed in the East and most of the big deals come off the books in 2 and 3 seasons. Winning and not overextending young guys promotes growth from within and we don't have a pick next year anyway.

Personally, I wouldn't mind LMA. He had a forgetful series in the WCF. But he's still capable of putting big numbers. 34 & 12 in Game 7 against Houston w/o Kawhi.

The Otto Porter interest makes sense but truthfully idk about the KCP interest anymore.... Before yes but not now after D'LO....

why put so much money in the G position where we are already in abundance....
