For people who like numbers, Butler's impact is very apparent while Kawhi's was less-so.

Butler definitely has that just got traded chip on shoulder thing going on this year. If he didn't get off to a rough start I think he'd be getting some MVP whispers. He's been a two-way monster since December.

X-Ray just checks if there are any breaks. It's the MRI that'll let us know if there are any tears.

Nikola Jokic is the first 6'10" or taller player since Wilt to record three straight triple doubles. 28/11/11 tonight.

Incredible.

Why is his efficiency down compared to last year by this much?

My guess is that Malone is making him play a lot more of the 4 this year with Plumlee at the 5 and it's been really clunky at times. He has an obsession with going big in the front court and it just doesn't work with Jokic.

Nearing the 3/4 point of the season and at this point to me it's a debate between James Harden and Jimmy Butler. I'd probably side with Harden because he's been the focal point of the "regular season champs" who are outstanding and were not supposed to be the #1 seed.

Butler's really moved up in my eyes though and I like the idea of giving the award in light of the effect he seems to have had on the Timberwolves culture.

I still think Curry's been the most impactful player, but the Warriors not having the best record makes it hard to consider any of them for me, and frankly unless they take back a substantial lead on Houston, I'll probably give the nod to Harden over Curry at least.

I'm not quite ready to seriously debate Giannis at the #1 spot, but at this point, I could see a path for him to win the MVP.

Anthony Davis tho...He's got my attention right now.

Ugh Jimmy. That absolutely sucks and he was definitely in the running.

The Jimmy Butler thing is really weird to me because I thought he was every bit as good last year as he has been this year and he wasn't really discussed.

Minnesota is winning playing Nate McMillan ball (crawling pace, low turnover rate, crash the glass) and their defense has been terrible. We've seen Thibs lift ordinary talent in Chicago to this level of regular season overachieving before. He also added a shoot first point guard which he loves and Taj who has had a borderline career year.

It really feels like Butler is getting a little too much lineup data credit here when this roster improved because of other factors as well such as using cap space to mortgage the future for immediate gain and KAT taking a step forward.

That said I also really hate literally everything about this Minnesota team outside of him, Towns and Jones so I might be off.

Butler was discussed little last year. But mostly because his team was poor. Same reason Davis never ends up too high or similarly food player on bad teams

Yep. I was screaming about how underrated Jimmy was last year. Offensively they'll be fine but that defense will go from terrible to "oh my god how are they this bad without Jimmy." Over the next month. They might not make the playoffs if he is out until the last 5 or so games.

I don't see how they make the playoffs with Jeff Teague at point guard. He already does a poor job of incorporating Karl-Anthony Towns in the offense. He misses him on the pick and roll nearly every time they run P&R. Defensively the team is going to be as bad as Cleveland pre-trade deadline.

Anthony Davis is making a real run for number 1.

What he is doing isn't human.

36/13/2/3/2 on 59TS% and a 7.3 TOV% over the last 10 games aka all of february 114 ORTG/100 DRTG
I came here to do two things: get lost and slice **** up & I'm all out of directions.
