Re: Nassir Little
he's been bad, much worse than even the lowest expectations from prior to start of the season. I honestly don't see this kid as an NBA player. Looks a like poor man's version of diallo, who has been a major bust so far. Add this to the fact that all karolina draft picks have been huge busts relative to expectations coming into the high school...

Re: Nassir Little
Little has not been used usually to his strengths but he is improving in Roys system and adapting in ltd minutes quite well. He is being more aggressive defensively and around the basket showing his elite athleticism and toughness. He is not a jump shooter but mostly a straight line driver and scraps for possessions plays hard and has been a good soldier considering the majority of this draft class if in his shoes would be trying to do everything themselves to improve their draft stock.
I think he's a sleeper to be one of the best players from this draft more than he is trending the other direction provided the team drafting him isn't dumb enough to try to use him at the 3. He needs to play at the 4.

Re: Nassir Little

Kevin Knox played 32 mins per game, while Little is playing 19.
again, Roy should never get another 1AD prospect.

Isn’t he basically Al-Farouq Aminu as a prospect more or less?

I would say he has a ceiling of Montrezl Harrell.

Re: Nassir Little
The problem with Nassir as a 4, is at the NBA level, he's undersized. There are a lot of undersized PF candidates on the roadside to the NBA. In this class alone, at the 4, this puts him behind a lot of guys - something like 7th or 8th, and quite possibly out of the first round.
Guy's he's definitely behind as a PF:
Zion Williamson
Sekou Doumbouya
Grant Williams
Jalen McDaniels
Brandon Clarke
Guys he might be behind:
Killian Tillie
P.J. Washington
Hachimura
Holman\
Shittu
Not to mention the possibilities of foreign players - Samanic for example.

Re: Nassir Little
Nas isn't a 4. he's a prototype 3 who can slide to the 4 in small 'run n gun' lineups.

Also, pretty sure his length is actually + for a 4. When he gets back to his weight from last year, he should be able to defend some 2s (but not through screens).

Agreed, to my mind he's a 3. But there are folks (eg Stillwater, even your own comparison - Knox is at least a 3.5 ) up thread arguing that he should be considered as a 4 - but that's bad for him, IMO.

Re: Nassir Little
Nas supposedly has a legit 7-1 wingspan so defensively he should be able to guard the majority of 2-4s at the next level at at least a competent level.
Knox is 6'9 but actually 'only' has a 6-11 wingspan.
I think Nas will go a lot higher than people realize when it's all said and done. teams LOVE his prototype and I think will bet on what he can potentially turn into at the next level.

Offensively I think he's a 4 for sure, doesn't have much handle and isn't a shooter, just seems like he'd really struggle at the 3 in a lot of scenarios. Defensively he should be fine on most forwards/wings.

Kelly Oubre type prospect.
Similar college seasons and strengths and weaknesses. Tools are a little different, but both feel like they'll take a while to become positive players (if they ever do) but bring enough pedigree, size and potential shooting to get plenty of opportunities to figure it out.

Care to elaborate?
Oubre is quicker, Nassir is stronger, but both had very similar statistical seasons in college and strengths and weaknesses coming out.
DX's Strengths for Oubre:
- Phyiscal Tools
- Defensive Potential
- Shooting Stroke
- Upside
Weaknesses
- Creating Offense
- Feel for the Game
- Consistency

i mean, what makes them similar outside of having similar stats as freshmen? Oubre doesn't have the two-way potential of Little, doesn't have the core strength, switchability 2-4, or ability to finish at the rim like Nas. Oubre's also more of an off-ball guy while Little needs touches on-ball to leverage his strengths.

Obviously the aren't identical, but they do share some of the same concerns imo of being swing forwards w/ feel and IQ concerns that are deficient in enough areas that may lead them to being guys that aren't valuable enough at either position to be starters on a good team.
Who's your comparison for him?
