Can't remember who said it, but their quote was "if he's there in round 2 I'd take him" or something to that effect. At first we thought it was a joke but that's where I'm at right now as well. If you're not really freaking good at it in the NBA, if you're a ball dominant player, you're a huuuuge drain on your team. You don't see ANY "pretty good" ball dominant players in the nba, either you're great at it, or your not. If you're taking Porter Jr., you're essentially gambling that he'll be an elite ball dominant player, an all-star. That is highly unlikely, those kind of players are 1 in a million, they don't come from guys who couldn't start on their college teams and had off court issues. But again, if he's there with pick 43, I'll take a flyer, sure. He's really good at layups... :D

That shot though...that's Lonzo-esque. I highly doubt it translates to the NBA in any way, shape or form and if it doesn't? How does that effect the rest of his game? Given his college footage it probably means more pull up long 2s, which is exactly what no one wants.

Some kids just want to start making money. He probably wasn't a high pick either way, so I don't know how much he really loses by leaving early.
That and the word from people that know things is he didn't particularly like Pitino. I forget who posted it back when he declared but he said as much in saying that from his sources that Coffey was gone whether likely to be drafted or not.

I think Amir is the type of player who might be a come from nowhere player in a few years to play a role in someone's rotation as a scorer, but he does have some glaring weaknesses that need to be improved before he's worthy of a rotation spot anywhere.

If rosas can find a way to get DLO and draft doumbouya or (reddish if he falls) or Little, Wolves could win a championship in 3-4 years.

So Seikou will be drafted in top 10. No wonder.

That shot does remind me of Lonzo.

He’s got such an easy looking shot. Eighteen years old, logging productive minutes in the French league, great measurements for a PF, athletic. No way he makes it down to us.

I know Doumbouya's workout was pretty exciting and the kid has some major upside, I struggle to see him dropping to us at this point. How would people feel about Claxton right where we are at? I am really warming to it the more I read and watch the kid. I see him as a great fit between Towns and Roco.

Yea really hard to see Sekou falling to us.

If teams value Saric I’d be very willing to trade him and 11 up with Atlanta or Washington to get Sekou. Knicks and Lakers are probably the only teams that would really value Covington and I would target Barrett (Knicks) or Garland (Lakers) if they were willing to trade there pick for Cov.

Another Mock

https://newarena.com/nba/nba-mock-draft-2-0/20/?amxt=tbdt_nar_yhrr

Just the Wolves luck as it seems every mock now has the exact same top 10 and in the lottery the Wolves moved back a space to 11.
These top ten players with minor changes to the order are
Zion
Morant
Barrett
Culver
Garland
Hunter
White
Reddish
Hayes
Doumbouya

This one has the Wolves taking Brandon Clarke and he seems to be the consensus of the mocks. I like it. Odds are usually against a draft falling in line with the mocked top 10 all going top 10 so by that logic the Wolves should have a shot at one of the top 10, but this year I wouldn't be surprised if the top 10 goes completely according to form.

Hayes, Redish and Hunter are the guys I could see falling (in that order).

If Hunter falls to 11 I'm sprinting to the podium to turn in the pick. If Hayes falls to 11 Clarke might already be gone, but if not I have a very difficult decision on my hands. If Reddish falls and Clarke is gone I go oh $hit and trade back with a team that is enamored with Reddish or better yet get a good player for the pick.

Hunter is a wierd prospect. He has a great 3pt% but low volume and not so great FT% for he which projects to be an average 3pt shooter. He is a good finisher but was a meh creator in college. Projects to be a good defender but his stocks and rebounds are low. And he is a 2nd year player but will have senior age when the season starts. His wingspan is reportedly 7'2 (no combine) and he is probably around 6'5.5 without shoes which would be Kawhi like (pretty big if). I wouldn't know what to do.
