Griffin really likes Love. I'm just not sure what the Cavs would do with Nos. 4 & 5. Hunter is the only guy I have rated as a top 5 prospect after Barrett, Zion, and Ja. Unless the Knicks are prepared to do something crazy at No. 3, or the Hawks want to trade up to No. 5 after the Cavs draft Hunter, the Cavs will be trading themselves into a position where they'll have to reach.

What would you add to Love to get the pick?

Saric + Roco?

Wolves keep 11.

That would be a great deal for both IMO.

If the Pels land Roco.. man, they'd have the makings of an excellent defensive team. Would just need a C to complete it. Jrue, Ball, RoCo, and Zion.. great, great defense.

I don't see Love getting 4. I see Love and 5 getting 4 and Solomon Hill's bad deal.

And I don't see the Cavs trading Love to move up one slot and eat Hill's deal which may be why Griffin is searching for alternatives. The Bulls were rumored to be open to moving Lauri.

Seems like Chicago would be silly to do that, but if I'm New Orleans I'd move heaven and earth to pair Lauri with Zion. That would be so fun. 4+Hart+Jackson+2020 NOP 1st (protections negotiated)?

Me? Unless the Knicks do something stupid, or the Hawks make a legitimate offer to trade up to No. 5, nothing. I don't really see the value in having Nos. 4 & 5 unless you're going to trade one of the picks. In fairness, there were rumors that the Cavs might be interested in Garland but I don't believe them.

Would have to be quite a bit. Love's current value seems far off from the #4 pick and the Cavs shouldnt be including their own long-term assets unless they were definitely getting good value from Love here.. but just cant see the Pels diving right back into bad contracts.

There is no way Love alone fetches #4. Just none.

Check Minute 14.

That's exactly what I told you to do...good one though.
You should transcribe it yourself.

Not sure why I should.

He was pretty clear he didn't want to sell picks.

We both seemed in agreement that he he publicly expressed this, except you somehow don't agree with that agreement although it isn't clear why or how.

I'm good with Okafor as a 20mpg nominal starting center.

Imagine RoCo and Brandon Clarke with 11.

lonzo, Jrue, Covington, Zion, Clarke... A modern coaches dream

I know both Zion and Clarke play big, but isn't there a size concern? How do you feel about Bol at 11? And try to sign someone like Brook to play while he develops.

Also I'm curious about what you think about Bamba? Would seem to be a perfect fit.

Developmental bigs always scare me. When they work it doesn't seem like they do on their first team/first contract, especially when they come with injury concerns and/or don't show much in their first year.

I'm not saying Clarke would be a full time C, but the effort, athleticism, switchability of that 5 is certainly a great small ball lineup.

I really like the Turner for #4 idea. I think that could make sense for both teams, though Indy might want a more NBA ready guy.

For anyone interested, some specifics on Atlanta's 2nd-rounder trades:

Yeah, I had the #41 basically half sold, half for the pick.
#44 would be pretty much what, 90% sold, 10% for a pick that might convey?

Good switchability. The shooting would be a big question mark outside of Roco.
