For some reason I don't have a report button but that is totally unfair and wrong to accuse people of racism without any substance or merit. Do you really want us to get into the reasons why? I'm sure you don't because the long drawn and tiring points from months ago would get rehashed and nobody wants that.

If you can't figure out that this movement has strong political ties to it, then that's on you but don't throw out lazy accusations/generalizations, thinking that we're just going to accept that as being true.

Why do I get the feeling you might not have access to the report button because you've abused it in the past?

Let me make something clear. I don't want to have a discussion with you, I don't want to hear your reasons for you disliking black people speaking out about social issues. I never pretended the movement didn't have strong political ties, just that people calling BLM protesters terrorists and a danger to American society are either uninformed or willfully ignorant. You don't have to accept someone else's criticism of your values but I'm still free to criticize all the same.

That is true but there is also a certain segment of the fanbase who call themselves "fans" while wearing chinese knockoff jerseys and illegally streaming their games.

Those people are a net zero for the nba.

Censor discussion? Golly, my friend, when and where did I try to, um, censor you? And are you not a good person?

You went on a tirade against Scrabbarista saying that the same posters are on all the ratings thread...maybe because it's all related to the same topic of interest? About the labelling of people, it is immature and disingenuous.

Just...boycott the NBA already!!

I'm not sure what Decision you're referring to. Or why I've been labelled a boycott boy. Most people who are boycotting are boycotting games, not online discussion forums. Perhaps posting about their boycotts is a way to call attention to their displeasure and the things they would like to see changed; that seems pretty basic and normal to me; I would like to be nice, but you seem like you're freaking out about it, and you're coming across as very triggered right now. Perhaps it's time to step away for a bit?

Thanks, but given that this indeed is a discussion forum, I think I'll continue to post when I want..and will continue to call out the boycott boys posting over and over and over and over (fifteen pages of such posts just to this thread) about how they "hate" the NBA and are "done with it" (yet must tell us about it over and over and over again in multiple threads).

Yeah, I get it, it must "suck" now that Black Men "dare" to have opinions about social inequity and/or the policing of people of color in this country. If you don't like my posts, though, feel free to ignore them.

Golly, I went on a "tirade"--"a protracted speech marked by intemperate, vituperative, or harshly censorious language"? Hmm...don't see any evidence of that.... I do, however, think it pretty darn awesome that you are sticking up for your friend Scrabbarista one day after he supposedly put me on ignore--it's almost like you good people are a tag team taking turns trying to provoke the posters supporting equity and social justice into violating the GB posting bylaws...or maybe alternate accounts?

Regardless, I would never censor anybody, particularly good people.

I don't want to get into it either tbh out of respect for the forum guidelines. We've already gone down this path exhaustively amidst the players boycott and the moderators allowed for us to air our opinions then which was appreciated. I could write an essay as to why I've chosen to boycott the sport and it has little to do with race (yes racism is always there), but mostly due to politics.

So I find it offensive when people play up identity politics as well as the race card. Like we're supposed to accept these accusations without rebuttal, while they cover their ears thinking that their opinion is gospel. They don't have to engage either but at the same time I have a right to call up their opinion as baloney.

It is October and there is too much sports to compete with. Nba finals vs mlb playoffs?

It has nothing to do with BLM. That is just a bunch of conservatives who hate any kind of protest.

It is October. Nba finals in October is weird.

Well you only give him legitimacy by responding to ignorant accusations in the first place. This is a free country and people are free to be anything they want, including CONFIDENTLY CLUELESS!! Its like you being a good person your whole life and one day some yahoo walks up and tells you (without knowing one shred about you), that you are this and that.... racist, sexist, etc. You know that no rational person (that you can possibly respect), could ever make such a no-sighted (yep, made up a word), judgment and be taken as anything but a deranged child. It's clear a certain portion of this board can't stand the discussion so they want to try and censor it by being so abrasive and rude to other posters to get the thread locked.

I have no doubt a mod will enter at some point and say well there was nothing productive being discussed so we are going to lock the topic. Well there was until a couple of posters went in and decided to play mod rather avoiding discussions they didn't want to have

When someone calls you out it's not about being a full blown racist or sexist. It's about acknowledging certain biases that exist but go off. Refusing to acknowledge an inherent bias becomes willful ignorance after a while.

How are the NFL ratings compared to last year?

Are the NFL players still kneeling or have they stopped doing that?

Basically. They never acknowledge any of the other reasons why ratings might be down.
