Givoni and ESPN and Dunc’d On say LaMelo Ball is far above anyone else in this draft.

Krascinski thinks it’s Anthony Edwards

We don’t know.

I think it's a good thing since keeps all the options open for a trade if no one knows.

I say if it’s ball or wiseman, a trade will be announced shortly after.

So what do you think about SGA, 2020 #25 and 2021 #24 (Heat pick) for #1 pick?

If trading out of draft for someone like SGA, I trade with Hornets first.

#1 for #3 + Washington (or 2021 1st or ?)

Draft goes:
Hornets #1: Wiseman
Warriors #2: Edwards

#3 (Ball) for SGA.

Use #17 if needed to sweeten Wolves offers and better the return.

Towns
Washington
Culver
SGA
Russell

If it's the Bulls i'll take Lauri Markkanen, Otto Porter Jr. and Kris Dunn+#4 pick for #1, JJ, Spellman and filler.

We could be drafting for Philly too...they're interested in Ball as well.

Sign me up for the Thunder package he mentioned during the Lowe podcast. They mentioned Alexander, the 25th this year and a future first from the trove of picks they have from Houston.....

Alexander is a stud already. The only problem 2 years away from a max as well.....

Did they say this was possible? I listened but while doing other things. I know they mentioned SGA, but I thought they said OKC wouldn’t move him for the pick. May have missed it though.

He said he thought it was possible. Not on the table as of now. Said if they really love Ball he could see it.

Everybody's favorite Hawks insider is back this morning:

Sacramento-Milwaukee-Minny are working on a blockbuster three team deal with Middleton, LaMelo Ball, Harrison Barnes, Bogdan SnT, Bledsoe, and Culver as a filler.

Middleton was made available to Atlanta, Chicago, GS, and Minny but Minny is the only one where they found the terms to be reasonable.

Holiday to MIN is unlikely as he wants to go to a contender.

Middleton, 29, is scheduled to make $33M next season. His contract goes until the 2022-23 season unless he picks up his player option for the 2023-24 season ($40M). How do the Wolves even come close to matching salaries with Johnson ($16M) and Culver ($6M).

It's unclear, but is Ball going to the Kings? Barnes and Bogdan to the Bucks? Where is Bledsoe going?

would assume that it wouldn't be completed until Ball signs his contract which would be $9.5 mil +

but yeah, hard to tell where the pieces would be going

Middleton is good. I thought his play was declining based on the year before but last year he scored more and shot better. He's only one year younger than Holiday who is a better player and makes less money. I wouldn't hate the deal if Culver was removed from it, but wouldn't love it either.

Doesn’t make a lot of sense. Ball fits worse with the Kings than he does here. Middleton had already shown that he’s not good enough to be a #2 on a championship team. Do we want to pay him 40m per year in his mid 30s when he’s already shown this?

I still think that unless we can get a true star (Simmons, Booker, Beal) you either keep the pick or you trade down and pick up an asset. I don’t want to move the #1 for a borderline all star that is or about to be overpaid for his 30+ age seasons (Holiday, Middleton, etc).

People need to STOP exaggerating the age. He would be playing for us during his 29-30-31-32 year old seasons. That is not MID 30s

I can't imagine they'd give SGA for the first pick and especially adding those other picks.
I would definitely make that trade.

Do we really want to go all in on Middleton? God no! Then we are in the same position we are with the Holiday move. We are now stuck with a roster that may get you an 7 or 8 seed for the next few years with zero cap room to make any other moves.....

If it is something like JJ, Culver, #1 for Middleton, SAC 2021 top3 protected, then sign me up.
