I mean you can write words, but everyone here knows they ain't true.

He's literally 6'10.75" without shoes. That's a 7-footer.

https://ballislife.com/how-tall-is-kevin-durant-pt2/

Speaking to Bob Fitzgerald on KNBR, Durant put fact over fiction when answering the age-old question of how tall he really is. “Since I love you guys so much, I was recorded at 6’10” and three-quarters with no shoes, so with my shoes on I’m 7-feet,” Durant finally revealed.

“I just like messin’ with people. They just ask me so much… yeah, I just like messin’ with people.”

Or you can accuse him of lying. Your choice.

lol riiiiight, because some article from 5 years ago on some website called "ballislife" is guaranteed to be 100% accurate, LOL

Riiiight, let's just take his word for it. Hey, while we're at it...I'm 7'9" in shoes. That has to be true because I said so, on the internet. You have to believe me that I'm 7'9". Or you can accuse me of lying. Your choice.

Let's totally disregard that he's listed at 6'10" on nba.com
https://www.nba.com/player/201142/kevin-durant/bio

Or that he's 6'10" on espn.com
https://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/3202/kevin-durant

Not to mention, that the article you linked Durant is quoted saying how he likes messing with people. So why should we believe anything he says?

And just because he has some guard skills, doesn't make him a guard. He's played forward his entire career.

What is KD?

By this definition half the "guards" in the league are forwards, because KD has better handles and passing than at least half of them. Probably a lot more than that.

I know you out here trying to defend a bad take...but let's get real.

No, he really does not. How often does KD see rhe floor with one other guard or no guards? He can’t, because he’s not a high level on ball creator for other guys.

His height/wingspan and shooting is orherworldly and it allows him to get space and create shots, but he’s really not playing like a guard at all. There’s a reason he hasn’t played significant minutes without 2 guards on the floor since his first two years… where both he and the team were underwhelming offensively.

It took him 7 years to post a positive assist to turnover ratio, and he’s a career 4.2 assists to 3.1 turnover guy. That’s a poor creator by any definition. He’s at least raised it to respectable levels, bur he’s very far from an elite creator. If you want to argue he has better handles than some guard that needs to be replaced by a better player.. i guess? He doesn’t even really play like a guard, he plays like a shooting, versatile forward, if you played him exclusively as a guard, you’d get a way worse player and team result.

And also. He’s 6’10, not 7’.. and he’s way better at creating off the bounce than all these wannabes that come through every year that get touted as a 7’ PG, and he’s still not someone you can trot out as the only or lead guard on the floor.

Giannis is another that flourished when he got moved to the front court, and flourished even more this post season with more off ball action mixed in.

I’ll refrain from personal attacks about bad takes.

6’10.75, assuming that is real, isn’t a 7 footer. It’s a 6’10.75er.

One thing we FOR SURE know about KD is he's not in this 2022 draft class. Push this convo out the thread into the PMs.

But every prospect who's tall and can shoot/handle the ball well must be compared to him!

They don’t even have to be good at it, they just had to have dribbled or shot the ball on a highlight video a few times.

Yah it's crazy that he's a 6'-7.25"er now.

Back to the 2022 draft, though, what do people think of Kendall Brown? I find him really interesting, seems very physical, but also to have nice vision. I'm excited to see him at Baylor.

Conor was a next to a 6”1” guy in a press conference. But as soon as he weighed in my geez his frame was just more impressive. He’s 5”9.5” with shoes on, on a good day (below average for a male) but he has a long wingspan, wide shoulders, massive hands, short neck, small torso and long legs. So he looks bigger than what some numbers come out. Classic fighters physique.

Being tall is just that being tall.

Two true six footers can look miles apart with each other.

It’s his godly wingspan (more than Giannis) and long legs that gives the spider like appearance.
Ingram is about 6”9”-6”10” but when Durant is near him then you might as well be talking about the weather lol.
2 inches and a bigger frame makes a very noticeable difference.
