It's a recipe for a Lowry-Siakam-4-for-Ben deal, and considering the offers we're getting from the T-Wolves board, we may just have to take it.

"eager to get off of Siakam" lol really?

"make up for not trading Lowry" these clowns would have went to the finals if they had traded for Lowry.

This man wants Suggs and Siakam for no jumper Simmons. :rofl2:

Apparently this man has internal sources at MLSE too. Incredible.

Whoever came up with:
Siakam to Philly
Simmons to Cleveland
#3 and filler (probably KLove) to Toronto

...this is the deal!!

That was my suggestion. Someone get that idea to our FO ASAP

No way Cleveland gives up 3rd for Pascal. Maybe with OG.

Simmons to Cleveland...not Pascal.

I'll happily throw in Malachi Flynn...or a future first round pick if it greases the wheels.

Worth kicking the tires on a potential buy-low opportunity. Wherever Simmons lands, he should play the lion's share of his minutes at center, and he should attempt at least a couple 3-pointers per game.

I'd rather the 76ers keep Simmons and waste Embiids limited prime

I'm pretty sure management in Philly has politely asked him to try even one 3 pointer a game. Ben decided he is too good to shoot 3s.

Read carefully man.

If FO could pull this trade off, we are championship contenders getting two possible ‘generational’ level talents

Absolutely zero chance the number 4 pick is included in any deal for Simmons. It’s just not happening. We’re drafting there because our management is competent and knows adding a cost controlled piece is more valuable than anything else in the deal.

We’re not trading Siakam, or the 4th pick, or OG, or FVV for Simmons. We know he can’t shoot. They know he can’t shoot. The best offer they’re going to get from us is Lowry, and that’s assuming he wants to go there and they give him $25 million a year. And make no mistake, that’s a good deal for them. They’re so cap strapped that they would have to gut the roster to add a player of Lowry’s caliber and the packages out there for Simmons are going to be underwhelming and not make them better.

Simmons is not an offensive star and the Raps need an offensive star. Unless he comes ridiculously cheap, dont use any assets on him. We'd be trying to offload him a year later

I have no interest in a max player that has no interest in getting better. His last interview was "I am who I am". Doesn't want to join the Australian national team to work on his skill set. I really don't care what defensive ability he has, its a moot point, if his offense prevents him from being on the floor. Id rather develop the 4th pick esp with the Raptors hx of developing players. I highly doubt Simmons would develop anything base on his previous yrs and attitude.

Yes that's certainly a tall ask. I'd imagine the Sixers have indeed insisted strongly that he shoots them but he has some kind of a psychological blocker. The notion that another team could get through to him is perhaps disingenuous. As good as he is, if one's goal is to win a title, he's essentially a 40 million dollar project. In other words, the premise with which I'd be basing a potential trade package off of would be: "This guy's an All-Star, but unless he makes a drastic, nearly unpredecedented change to his change, we can't win a title with him" i.e. I wouldn't be breaking the bank for him.

People who complain about Siakam's current contract are going to eviscerate Simmons in no time for being overpaid

Ben Simmon's Salary
$31,590,000 2021-22
$33,930,000 2022-23
$36,270,000 2023-24
$38,610,000 2024-25
$169,650,000, Total
