Yeah, me too. It would have been nice to see the Bengals win one having never won one, but then again, this Rams team came up short a couple of times.

And I think if you play for the Detroit Lions for a decade you almost deserve a SB ring. Great to see Donald get one too.

Bengals are young and have plenty of more chances.

Hard disagree. The Bengals don't make it back looking like they do now. They got super lucky.

Biggest blunder though was the non call Higgins facemask pi on Ramsey though leading to a td.

BIG difference between a penalty/non-penalty in the middle of the game and a key penalty with under 2 minutes.

Ticky tacky foul on the LB defending the pass over the middle to Kupp. Apple grabbed him more on the pass by the pylon.

When the Ravens beat the 49ers, the Ravens committed PIs on all the 49ers WRs with impunity in the last seconds of the game. People said refs swallow whistles at end of games, what are you going to do, can't have calls decide a big game.

On the game-winning TD pass, Apple didn't try to jam Kupp, like the Ravens did. He gave Kupp room to catch that fade because he didn't want another penalty.

Officiating impacted not only the plays where they threw the flag but subsequent flags.

Rams probably happy they got this officiating crew, which mostly let them play right until the end when it was to one team's advantage to tighten up the calls.

I didn't care who won it until Higgins had the offensive PI facemask non call on Ramsey resulting in a td, so then I started pulling for the Rams after they got screwed. I kind of felt that holding call evened it a bit on that front except of course it didn't hand them a td like the non call did the Bengals, but the same result.

I would do Donald - changed the game with his defense

I'd probably do Kupp, but it's close. Kupp made some great big catches and the game winning td....though you could say Donald ended the game with the sack of course...but the Bengals still would have had some work to do.

I mean Stafford kept going to Kupp lol but Bengals had almost single coverage on him down the stretch. the one play Stafford threw into the middle of the field when Kupp was surrounded by 5 Bengals in his vicinity was clutch.

He also had 2 ints..one was maybe not his fault but the other in the end zone.

I still find it so weird that american leagues hand the trophy to the owner instead of the players.

Kupp SBMVP. deserving indeed.

The crime rate has already skyrocketed in Los Angeles this past year. I bet that doubles tonight. Murders, robberies and looting incoming tbh.

It was a HUGE non call though flipping the complete trajectory of the game, in a relatively low scoring game. Had that been called the last drive may have been irrelevant.

If the Bengals won by less than 7, that non call would have made it feel like it was unearned to a lot of people. The little holding call didn't result in any points on the play so it wasn't nearly as big of a deal.

AFC is gonna be super tough. A lot of talented QBs in that conference, might see a new team representing every year.

I didn't say they make it back like Al Michaels did (though at first I thought he said Burrow won't be back)...but he had probably 10-15 more years of chances...but it is hard...ask Marino who made it early in his career and lost. Took Elway forever.

That may well have been the case if the Bengals won.

But at least the Rams had almost a half to recover from that.

They might not have recovered except for those crucial calls inside the 10 and the 5, with under 2 minutes left.

So if the refs blow the call, they have to make up for it by making at least one questionable call for the other team?

This result may be pretty controversial. Maybe the most controversial since that Rams vs. Saints game, which got the Rams into their previous SB visit.

Bengals have a weak secondary just like the Niners. Everyone knew Kupp was all they had in the second half and you still couldn't stop him.
