"Don't make any trades, re-sign Plumlee to a max deal. We can't afford to lose a defensive stopper like Oubre, give him Miles' money." - Cliff, probably.

Re: Fake Trade Thread #5
Mc Daniels just got traded in a three teams involving Phily and Portland (Thybulle)
More seconds or rights of Petrusev ?
nm just pick apparently. Oh well. Nets are stockpiling 2nds, Kupchak must be angry, he wanted 'm all.

Re: Fake Trade Thread #5
The funny thing is that Philly owns Charlotte's 2nd round picks this year apparently (from the Graham trade with Atlanta). Curious to see if that was the goal (in such case, it could be valuable).
But they should have gotten Petrusev's right. Dude is figuring it in EL, hard to think he won't impact the nba considering how bad some frontcourt defenses are in this league.

Thats so underwhelming for McDaniels. Would rather have kept him unless they just knew he wasn't going to resign. Also I don't understand why Portland would be acquiring Thybulle when they already signed GPIII to a long term deal. Feels like we should be getting Thybulle.

Re: Fake Trade Thread #5
He will hit free agency (like Hart and some more) anyway. Geting rid of Rozier would be useful now though (i did not say pay for it)
Hopefully the panic mode will affect some GM's who wants their team to compete (Atlanta, etc).
Curious to see what happens with Collins (i was expecting the nets to make an offer, they could be good trade partners), if the nets get short in the backcourt after such a trade, i would think this is the best opportunity (and Kupchak could get a fresh 2nd for it, hurrah).
Atlanta has not made any move, if they are really desperate, Collins could be a good target (for cheap, meaning no 1st) but that would imply a third team for Rozier.
On the paper a 4 teams trade that could work :
Sac in : Gordon
sac out : Barnes
Hou in : Rozier
hou out : Gordon
Atl in : Barnes
Atl out : Collins
Hor in : Collins
Hor out : Rozier
Maybe a frame like that could work, minus adjustement (Bogdanovic/Holmes vs plumlee etc).
That would add some leverage before negotiating with PJ. And maybe a good s&t could fetch a decent return (young wing prospect).

Wiseman to the Pistons. Interesting for sure.

Best of luck. With the Hornets, will be like doing play-by-play on paint drying.

Less than an hour to go. Drip, drip, drip….
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Eric Gordon and Bones to the Clippers. Definitely out of play for Rozier.

Re: Fake Trade Thread #5
But even with kennard out, they have a logjam at sg/sf.
Boston jr is probably the easiest to move, might be an interesting piece. Had (to my surprise) not too bad defensive stats when he had a bit of playtime in his first year
