As said before, this is what happens when you are trying to both win and develop at the same time. You end up doing neither well. This is where we stand at this point.

You don’t develop talent by force feeding them minutes. Gradey isn’t ready. Let him develop properly.

And that’s great that you’ve said that before but historically, it’s not even close to being accurate. Were we winning when we developed Pascal, Fred, Norm, OG, Delon, Poeltl?

lots of other rookies are getting decent minutes, and developing its not an exact science.

Yeah because they are better. We also don’t even know if they are developing because they are two months into their rookie season. Lol.

OKC, Houston and Orlando were playing a lot of young players during their tanking years and a lot of them aren’t even in the league now. So clearly giving them unearned playing time did nothing for their development.

Unless it's a confidence shattering issue, Gradey needs to be on the floor. It's honestly not that complicated. I wanna say more but I'd rather not.

I just don’t know how many players who struggle in the G league become productive rotation NBA players. Any examples?

He does need to play more. The team is losing anyway and the season will soon be in the toilet.

So much for this being a developmental season. Darko's rotation is down to 8-9 and he's starting to blast starter minutes to the roof. Same old lol.

Joke coach. Joke organization. Nobody has any idea what they want to do there.

A couple things.

How do you know they are better when we have such limited evidence? Gradey has barely played. Like garbage time only. That's exceedingly hard to evaluate.

The OKC, Hou, and Orl players that got minutes and got cut is an example of using a sufficient amount of data to make an evaluation. They've also seen players initially struggle, and get incrementally better.

Darko' s scheme is to blame, for a supposed players coach he doesn't trust the rookie. Yet gives moron Schroder and Precious equally generous amounts of playing time. Darko was a mistake, Ujiri and Webster hired another inexperienced yes man that has no clue on how to develop young players. This team should give young players from the 905 a tryout, this years a wash. Trade Schroder, Siakam and Poetl for complementary young players to Barnes, get some picks and START the rebuilding process.

DICK is not getting minutes because he really sucks right now. He's going with his best 9, and as you can see, even two of his starters are not Starter material on most teams.... let's see what Masai does by the deadline...

I concur as well. We should be giving Grady more minutes at NBA level and let him sink or swim. But Masai’s directive is to also try to win.

As said before, this is what happens when you are trying to both win and develop at the same time. You end up doing neither well. This is where we stand at this point.

In order to develop properly, he needs playing time. He’s not getting that in the NBA because we need to win. That’s why he’s in G-league.

If he’s having trouble adjusting to the NBA, you don’t accelerate his development by playing against others who can’t make the NBA (g-league).

Thus he needs to play against NBA competition to best develop. But in doing so, we sacrifice wins.

If confidence is an issue, then doing poorly in G-league is even worse. The 15+ mins he’s getting on G-league he should be getting it in the NBA. Period.

Brandon Podziemski today: 13/9/6 with 3 3’s and 5 steals. He would have been a perfect fit on the Raptors.

Hold your horses on the past tense. He might be inbound here if Siakam is dealt to the Warriors.

Wiggins, Kuminga, and Podz for Siakam seems fair.

I mean he's right lol.

If this season was about development, Gradey would be playing right now.

Jaime is a beast. Shame. It pains me so much watching him. Still gonna root for the kid throughout his career but wish it was for the Raptors
