Has Marjon taken over Thanasis' role as the human victory cigar?

Maybe- he did come in and immediately get a turnover.

That's either really hot or really cold, not sure which.

I mean, they still are a very respectable 41% from 3 on like 40 attempts.

It's relatively warm, but not too hot (for us).

2000s style Kobe Shaq extremely top heavy, skewed offensive box scores for us probably going to be the norm with Doc in not a good way. Giannis and Dame take turns and everyone get out of their way and hit the occasional three.

Plossum wrote:Saying Dame did nothing in Portland is a stretch. They regularly made the playoffs and he had some pretty iconic games. They made the WCF one year. He is a whole other type of cloth compared to Monta.

Dame's greatest team accomplishment is getting to a conference finals once in his career and getting swept. That proves my point.

And Dame got carried to that conference finals by CJ McCollum. Go check the box score of that game 7 vs Denver in 2019 when the Blazers advanced to the WCF.

I'm not saying Dame isn't an elite offensive talent and he's had some cool games. But I'm saying over the course of an 8 month NBA season, he's just not a winning player. Not a guy I would want on my team if I was trying to get to an NBA finals.

But Dame is still cut from that cloth.

Ya the hall of fame version

For putting up numbers on teams that never did anything.

Dame is an elite individual offensive talent. I'm not denying that. He's just not a winning player. If you're talking overall and factor in winning, Dame is grossly overrated.

Dame deserves the hall of fame. But he has no business on the 75th anniversary team.

I'm sorry but this is such a lazy, simplistic view of his Portland tenure. The dude lead like 3 different 50 win teams, 8 straight playoff appearances, 3 postseasons winning a playoff series, and made a WCF. All in a very difficult conference year to year.

What exactly was he supposed to do with the teams he had in Portland? He wasn't a "winning player" because he couldn't makes the finals or win a title with CJ **** McCollum as his #2 guy and the Moe Harmless and Aminus and Allen Crabbes of the world being his "support"
