Are we sure that LaVine is actually better than MPJ?

That’s my thing with him. Is he really and upgraded especially with his injuries?? I’d rather get a great scorer and backup C off the bench

They need more dynamism and guard play, especially with Murray looking washed. Insert Peyton Watson and see if you can get enough 3's from him/Gordon to keep a defense honest and watch Jokic elevate a legit slightly sub-star talent in Lavine.

I like it for them. It's a shuffle of chairs for Chicago, but they need to do something with all those guards and MPJ could be a good fit

As a scorer, yes but while MP Jr is no DPOY candidate, his ability to help guard the bigger SFs and some PFs will take a toll on them defensively so I'm not sure it really tips the scales much overall.

They'd be better off trying to add more depth with Cam Johnson + DFS if possible....really I'd say the same for GSW.

LaVine has more upside offensively, and can provide the shooting ability just similar to MPJ, the impact on the decrease in length/rebounding abilty, can be net off by inserting Watson into the starting line up, instead of Braun.

I dont think they trade MPJ. I think they get Lavine with some pieces and picks.

If they do LaVine trade i hope Jokic demands a trade. We all know he will not, but in that case he should...If the report is true, Booth is a moron.

Something like that isn't even possible. Outside of Jokic, Murray, Gordon, and MPJ...nobody on the roster makes more than 9 mill per season. And even that is only Zeke Nnaji, because then it's Saric at 5 mill and a bunch of guys at 3 mill. They also don't really have that many picks available to trade. That's what makes it so hard for the Nuggets to actually make any deals, on top of being over the 1st apron.

Murray can't be traded this season and I doubt they'd be willing to trade AG...so literally their only option to make a significant move is by including MPJ.

They shouldn't want Lavine's contract. lol. They need depth more so than another dude like that. They especially need 3nd guys.

You get Lavine, the same problem will still there be. No depth, and defense suffers. At least you have Braun coming off the bench. And hope Lavine stays healthy along with Murray?

If nuggets somehow landed Cam johnson +Depth and got rid of MPJ I pick them to come out of the west

Its mind boggling how passive MPJ gets in games and he seems to have Denver sports media in his back pocket. Was likely a done deal when he had Josh Kroenke appear on his podcast.

Don’t go for Lavine. Get a back up center and scorer off the bench to play with Westbrook

MPJ+Nnaji for LaVine does make sense

I actually like a Lavine trade for both teams. He may be a help to Jokic and can definitely score.

But playoff success remains to be seen so he's a question mark.
:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o

I would love Poole off the bench. Jordan Clarkson is good too

Would be amazing to get Clarkson without giving up much (probably impossible)

Imo, most of those trade options aren't good.

Lavine~you would have to give MPJ. Nuggets would get smaller. No SF. Less rebounding. Backcourt defense would be non existence now. And they would have even less depth. You add shot creation, but have less money to add quality role players and no SF.

Poole~ Not for that contract. Who are you trading to get him? All O, and no D.

Jordan Clarkson~ Redundant with Russ. Adds no shooting.

De’Andre Hunter~ He's a good replacement for MPJ since he is better defensively. But nugs need depth off the bench, so they need more than just him. They could add Bogi or Lance Jr.

Cam Johnson~ Same thing with Hunter. But if they add Dorian Finney-Smith that would be good.

Jonas Valančiūnas~ Would be nice. Idk if giving up the pick would be worth it, but it'll be a slight improvement.

Hunter, Larry Nance Jr, Bogdanovic for MPJ, Strawther, Saric, Naji.

Hawks give up 3 solid rotational players and get one quality 6.10 wing and a promising young guard. To sweeten the deal Denver chucks in a first and front row tickets for the entire Hawks organisation to the 2025 Denver opening night ring ceremony…. I’m desperate!
