just no creativity...

like many have pointed out, brunson's dad is the associate head coach

Rick Brunson is calling the shots?

lets be honest...look at Rick on the bench...he is a glorified cheerleader...he isn't coaching this team.

because he needs a coach that builds and offensive system around him not just let him do whatever he wants.

Let me ask you a question I was just re-watching our playoff series 2 years ago vs CLE. With randle hurt we were playing a majority of of that series with

Brunson
RJ
Hart
Obi
Mitch

can you tell me we play any bit of a different style of ball with that lineup then the lineup we have now?

How many people hated RJ and Obi....and now we have KAT, Mikal, and OG and we play the exact same way we did two years ago...brunson hero ball. How can you justify that?

And its not I don't want Brunson with the ball...I want more creative ways to get him the ball...not him walking up the ball using 20 seconds on the shot clock and taking a difficult shot....move him off the ball his C&S effectiveness is off the charts...utilize him in different ways...actually use your modern day big....this isn't rocket science.

"...this isn't rocket science." But Thibs thinks it's 1945 and he's Werner Von Braun.

my point is that if we are making a player "captain" and naming his daddy the "associate head coach" we aren't taking the ball out of his hands for any basketball reasons

You would be walking the ball up the court as well if you had to play 30 minutes straight which is what he did last night.

its not taking it out of his hands its making the offense more efficient. Duren isn't going to pick up hart full court...so just let him bring it up and we get into our offense way fast...too many time we start our possession with 14-15 on the shot clock and we are barely passing half court. So then when our first action is denied we are already up against the shot clock instead of being able to reset with enough time to counter.

If its a pride thing then thats bull ****....

agreed on top of the 44 minutes he is bring the ball up nearly every time...off load some of the responsibilities on someone else especially if that mad man is going to play a guy the entire 2nd half.

Brunson needs to move the ball.

Leon Rose didn't trade the entire asset chest for KAT, OG, and Mikal to stand around and watch Jalen and Tom try to imitate the 2010s Bulls offense.

This is horse sh*t. This team/roster is absolutely mismanaged.

yup, we had a bad turnover game but that hasn't been our issue this year.

like i said go re-watch the Cavs playoff clips from 2 years ago and the Pacers clips from last year even when the team was decimated by injuries.

We play the exact same way with completely different personnel and talent. This is terrorism at its finest!

it isn't new though. he has always played like this. but the knicks also could play defense and rebound better than most teams. now they can't. if people are mad about how jalen is playing they should have never liked him. because nothing has changed with him.

I mean... We now have the most weapons on offense we've had in 20 years. If Brunson freezes out KAT and OG completely, it is bs. I don't put this all on thibs tbh, because Brunson does like the 20 second dribbling and hero ball mode a lot.
If he doesn't pass the ball a little more, we might as well trade all our skilled offensive players for 3 and d guys and rim protectors. go full Harden-Rockets mode. Does that win us a chip? I don't know.
