Jersey Generals wrote:Okay, whose trade is better: mine or this one? Should I work out a new trade since the trades are nearly identical.

Trade 1:

Min trades: Milicic, W.Johnson, Pekovic, Ridnour, #3
Min gets: Bogut, Salmons, A.Johnson

Mil trades: Bogut, Salmons
Mil gets: Camby, Milicic, Johnson, #3

Por trades: Camby, Johnson
Por gets: Pekovic, Ridnour

- Minnesota's main targets this offseason should be C and SG. In this trade they get a top-C with Bogut to play next to Love. They give a lot with Johnson + Pick #3 and they take on Salmons, but this is needed + they don't use all of their capspace for that.. they trade their roleplayers and still have capspace after that trade for other trades during the season or to sign FA's
- Milwaukee decides to trade Bogut, because of not making the playoffs this season and because they get very good return here to retool with gettin rid of Salmons, getting a top-pick (they can pick Kanter for the 5-position), Milicic and Johnson + Camby. Wasn't there a rumor that Camby would retire when he's traded again? This would be awesome for Mil (saving 12mio this season). Otherwise it's still nice, because of their '12 exps + they would be a playoff team with that roster.
- Portland downgrades from Camby to Pek, but Pek ist still very young, and they also get a Back-Up PG in Ridnour (they need one) + they save 3,5mio.

Trade 2:

Min trades: Flynn, #19
Min gets. Mayo

Mem trades: Mayo
Mem gets: Flynn, #19

- Min still needs a SG. With that trade they get Mayo to be Rubio's backcourt partner for the next decade. - I think this offer is better than #15 + McRoberts for Mem. With Vazquez being more of a SG, Williams being old + crap, they can use a young PG like Flynn as Conley's backup. With the Pick #19 (they get their own pick back) they pick a young big.. for example Faried

Minnesota Roster after the 2 trades:

Rubio/(FA)/A.Johnson
Mayo/Salmons/Ellington
Beasley/Webster/Hayward
Love/Randolph/(FA)
Bogut/Tolliver/(FA)

It looks very good imo. It's maybe still not a playoff team, but I think a very good start and they should go into the season with that roster. If Rubio plays bad, I could see them making a run at Nash to mentor him. This could be possible if Phx sucks the next season

I don't see why Portland is involved in his trade. :dontknow:

That would probably kill it for me as a judge, although he has Milwaukee getting big value instead of it being shipped elsewhere.

Milwaukee's also getting Udoh in my updated version.

Beasley, Flynn, Udoh, Peckovic, and the 10th. What do you think of that value?

Value is good, but if Irving, D Williams or Sullinger is there at 3 I think it trumps the quantity over quality, but if Irving and Williams are gone and Sullinger returns to school I like your package better.

T-Wolves get- Dorrell Wright, OJ Mayo, Andrew Bogut, and Drew Gooden
T-Wolves give- Tolliver, Webster, Beasley, Flynn, Peckovic, Ellington, the 3rd pick, and the Grizzlies pick.

Why? They build a team around the strengths of Rubio, which are creating for others and defense. They surround him with shooters, add a defensive center to help Love down low, and also add another play-maker in Mayo to help alleviate some stress from Rubio.

Warriors get- Tolliver, Vasquez, and the 3rd pick.
Warriors give- Wright, Udoh, Lin, and the 10th pick.

Why? They trade up without losing either Curry or Ellis, allowing them to pick Kanter/Barnes and maybe ship out Ellis or Curry in a follow up trade for an upgrade at another position of need.

Grizzlies get- Ellington, Webster, Lin, and their own pick back.
Grizzlies give- Mayo and Vasquez

Why? They lose Mayo, but gain their pick back, a back up for Gay in Webster, a bench player iN Ellington, and they take a flyer on Lin, a cheaper back up than Vasquez.

Bucks get- Beasley, Flynn, Peckovic, Udoh, and the 10th pick.
Bucks give- Bogut and Gooden.

Why? They rebuild on the fly, getting a nice package of young players and a pick that could allow them to take Alec Burks. In addition, they get to shed Gooden's salary, which is a bad contract to have for the rebuild.

T-Wolves-

Rubio/Ridnour
Mayo/Johnson
Wright/Johnson
Love/Randolph/Gooden
Bogut/Millicic

Haha that is hilarious. I literally typed out in my first response to what you said: Its go big or go home for me. I play to win, man. Any advantage I can get, I take. But that sounded too Rambo-ish.

I live across the Atlantic, would love to help Trout get his groove on and see if he becomes Hump like next season, but it'd be very hard for me...

Anyone think we could maybe pull of a Humphries sign and trade for Jeff Green?

The Celtics need a rebounder, DESPERATELY.. we need scorers.. I wouldn't mind it if it were to happen.

We'll even throw in Johan Petro to give them the size they need to match the Lakers and Dwight Howard!

Lol, I know, but it's not even about the Hump, it's about Jeff Green being garbage.

Well.. all throughout his career he has played with not 1, but 2 ball hogs in Westbrook and Durant. He could benefit playing besides D-Will.

AND he would get to play SF not PF :)...

Though with that being said... While I'm on the sign and dump the hump bandwagon (nothing personal) I don't know if Green is the guy I'd target initially.

Yeah, I think his value is very high right now, I'm sure we can get somebody better than Green, especially a team that needs rebounding, like you said the Celtics, Atlanta, NO, Phoenix or Portland. Personally, I'd prefer if we trade for a PF, not really looking forward to the free agent class this year and if we trade Hump, there's a massive hole at the 4, and I'mm sure everyone here don't trust Trout playing at all.

What about trying to draft Bismack?
